[QUOTE="JIT93"][QUOTE="dk00111"][QUOTE="JIT93"] Yeah, the actual code is there so I think I'm covered for that, it has it for bug, Critter, and Chameleon Critter

Oh ok. That makes it a bit easier then. But don't be surprised if they ask you to make a new type of actor in the free response (I think we had something like that last year).

But its easier, just make a new class that extends the old class, modify the behavior, and voila! Easy 6 points lmao

Ah, I see you've got the hang of this. :D

[QUOTE="markop2003"][QUOTE="LiftedHeadshot"][QUOTE="mfp16"] I love computer science humor! LOL, you probably don't get the connection yet, but you will if you decide to be a CS major.

I want to major CS in college, any advice or thoughts on it? What kind of jobs can I get other than programmer?

Systems analyst, support, network/sys admin, tester and the various managers that go with them. A lot of them are put under very general terms of 'support' or 'developer' so you really have to read into the individual jobs as developer means you could be doing anything to do with making and maintaining programs whilst support can cover any maintenance, upgrading systems or in some cases it basically means you're the 'it guy' and are expected to cover anything to do with computers.

You should also like computers a lot, since the pay isn't that great...

I've actually been looking for a first car for a month or so. Any recommendations? (5-6k used; 2 or 4 door).

[QUOTE="dk00111"][QUOTE="JIT93"]Sorry for the bump, but isn't the Gridworld API and code for some actors in there (Bug, Critter, BoxBug)?JIT93
I think the API is there, but the actual code is not. You have to remember how each class acts and how each method works. Oh and tomorrows the test, good luck to anyone taking it :D

There's a lot of 1080p games as others have said, but a movie and a game are two completely different things. You have a lot more thing going on in a video game, and the visuals aren't prerendered/precaptured, so it's harder to get it to run 1080p without having huge frame rate issues.

I remember buying the Sims on GameCube. I was so excited since my computer had a hard time playing The Sims back then. To my disappointment, the GC version of the game was a heavily dumbed down version of the PC games, plus there weren't any expansion packs. I've stuck with PC Sims ever since.

[QUOTE="Kojo222"]

I'm at the point where Naomi Hunter finally, finally, FINALLY dies. And Otacon is crying! What's wrong with these people? Her most recent betrayal literally crippled the U.S. military! I thought Snake would put a bullet in her head the second she slinked out from behind REX!

Sorry bout the ranting. It's just that Naomi has been a traitor for 10+ years helping to destabelizethe whole f'ng world over some crap with her brother,and Kojima gives her a useless and hypocritical soliloquy that's evenlonger than whatthe Boss or Eva had! Been liking the game so far, but this scene is just ridiculous!:x

madsnakehhh
Dude, please, just finish the game first and then we talk.

/Thread.

It went underground. Plus, the older artists like Nas and Ice Cube still make good music.

[QUOTE="dk00111"]

I took it last year and got a 5. It's really easy as long as you have the basics of java down, and a practice test or two wouldn't hurt either. Just make sure you're familiar with Gridworld.

I've got AP Art History this year, and heard it's a huge pain :( I'm shooting for a 4. Don't want to hijack this thread but does anyone have any experience with it?

JIT93
I think I got the basics, any way to test that? Its just the multiple choice, those things are so tricky and so deceptive also, my gridworld Broke when we were doing it, so I don't know anything past Z-Bug, and isn't gridworld just modifying some code with the Extends operation?

The only way to test the basics would be to take a practice AP exam :P It'll give you a good sense of how the test is, and you'll learn how you should pace yourself (too fast, too slow). And yeah, you have to pay close attention to the details in the multiple choice. Once you know how they trick you, then you can spot the tricks on the test and not miss the multiple choice. As far as gridworld goes, I can't remember all the classes exactly (we don't use it at all in Comp Sci II), but make sure you know how each class behaves (with their "move" methods and such). I think one or two of the free response will be about gridworld. I'm pretty good with Java (I'm working on a working Monopoly game in CSII :) ) so feel free to ask me anything.
