Unless you're sitting 3 feet away from the TV, the resolution difference would be negligible. And like Flame_Blade88 said, the 1080 would be interlaced, so stick with the 720p.

Umm no!! Actually when you buy a refurb PS3 from Gamestop, you get 30 days as an instore warrenty so that if it breaks within a month, you can simply take it back to the store for a full refund, another refurb or use the $229 plus tax towads a new Slim. After that 30 days, you get the same FULL 1 YEAR WARRENTY from Sony that anyone else gets!! Once it is sent back to Sony to be refurbished, it is restored to "like new" condition and the standard 1 year warrenty is put back into effect on the day of purchase!! I work at gamestop. Why would sony cover a gamestop refurb? I don't want to hijack this thread, but do you like working there? I'm planning on getting a job soon.
