@nintendians: If its not BC i am not buying it. I'll keep my steam deck. BC has been possible since the PS3/X360 era. Nintendo keeps doing this crap and the Nintendbros are too dumb to put their foot down and give Nintendo every excuse in the world to take advantage of them.
can always count on Nintendo to give us the best deals.

Thats exactly why I haven't touched my switch since i got a steam deck. No more Nintendo tax, no more paying 60 for games that came out in 2017, waiting for them give us features that we've had with Sony and MS since the PS3/X360 era, also instead of letting me pay for retro titles, I'm emulating them now.
Xbox has been my preferred platform since the 360. I always got multi plat games for my xbox and love the form factor of the controller. The sad thing for me this gen is MS has dropped the ball so much that my Series X is not getting anywhere as much use as the PS5. Also, PS5's controller is so much better than the PS4's controller(in terms of form factor and haptic feedback). Normally i would upgrade my Series X storage with one of these, but I am not even considering it. Gamepass is great, but I cant even recommend the Series X to people. MS has to do something because at this point, I wont be getting the next gen Xbox whenever it releases in a couple years. I'll stick to the PS5 and Steam Deck to meet my gaming needs.
I am absolutely loving my steam deck. It literally has caused my switch to never be turned on again once i got it. In addition, it's the console i play the most because I am a husband and father, so it's the most convenient. Plus a ton of games for cheap, current gen games on the go, and emulation. I want Valve to learn from this first iteration, learn a lot, and improve it massively by the time they release the next one.
@tmthywtsn: so true. Since getting my steam deck in July, i have not even turned my Switch on. Steam deck just does it all. And i mainly game on the go so it's perfect for me. The steam deck has honestly made me salty about Nintendo. Graphics are better and it can run practically any current gen game. Is it perfect? no, but i love being able to play triple AAA games on the go, since i don't have much time to play when I'm home.
I don't have to pay the nintendo tax anymore and will gladly emulate games they don't let me purchase. Im all for paying devs and publishers for their games, but if you don't want to make it possible for me to purchase, best believe i will emulate it instead.
