Enjoying the game. Getting it through gamepass on day 1 is a plus. Only issue is that when i play solo i cant pause the game. I wish this could be a feature. Im a dad now and i have to be able to pause my games or at the very least if enemies dont keep respawning i would be ok.
@skyhighgam3r: I would suggest playing them as they come out. I have about 50 hours into FF7R part 1. It was great, but need to go back for the last set of trophies I'm missing.
I would imagine that trying to play them all one after the other would take an incredible amount of time and i'd be bored halfway through. It would be overwhelming for me and I might not end up finishing the series as a result. But, to each's own, i know a lot of people who feel the way you do.
@phili878: i found Rise to be excellent. Stopped at the 90 hour mark and just waiting for the next expansion. Had a blast the entire time, but will admit the gameplay loop is the same. Once I got all my armor and weapon sets, i started to get bored, but really enjoyed my time.
Usually get every mid gen upgrade. Don’t see myself upgrading my 2017 Switch.
I play handheld only. There are plenty of games to still play. If this would’ve been like what they did with the DS to 3DS, than I would’ve been more likely to upgrade, but the upgrade isn’t substantial enough to sway me.
@videogameninja: Ninja, i feel the same exact way. I'm happy that Capcom figured out how to blend RE 7 with RE 4. And based on video reviews, the game looks excellent. However, if we look at how RE5 delved more into the action and then RE6 just went off the deep end(absolutely horrible game, made me lose faith in the series), Capcom could repeat history with the next set of RE games. That we don't want.
@gr4h4m833zy: Im in the same boat about pre ordering. Felt a little uneasy yesterday, but I'm glad to know its gonna be fun ride. Capcom just keeps putting out bangers.
Never played any Yakuza games before this one. I found this game to be a masterpiece. The story, goofiness, jrpg mechanics, it was hilarious, and music just hit the right notes. This is the sleeper hit of last year, IMO a GOTY contender. They did a phenomenal job with this one. My only issue with the game is at one point in the story you are forced to grind(which slightly messed with the flow of the story), It wasn't so bad though IMO. I love JRPG's so I always expect to grind either for materials or for levels. Loved this and going to have to go back to some of the older games. If you want a traditional JRPG, this is the game for you. I was addicted to this for 2 weeks and enjoyed it very much.
@thecupidstunts: I had the same experience. I couldn't put my finger on what it was lacking, but it just was. Played for a couple hours and just didn't go back. Also the environments felt very generic and it was hard to tell how to get from one place to another. So I was running in circles a lot of the time. The Souls games just do an excellent job of creating inter-connected worlds.
