@hystavito: Nope it wasn't however i think he's referring to the Amiga which at a few hundred quid, if you had one then you were the envy of the neighbourhood.
I had a speccy back then and then went to an Atari STe :( i loved it but it just couldn't match the Amiga's speed or it's compatibility.
To name one of my first games, it would have to be Maziacs, 1982, Spectrum 48k, on a TV that the top part of the screen was missing, unless my mum and dad were out in which case i could hit the tv on the top and the screen would fix itself : ) That worked great until the cable went funny, then you had to sit so still you could have been a statue in the worry that you didn't knock the cable and have to reload the game up.
J - LOAD, Symbol shift and P (Twice), Enter, (Press play on the tape deck) LOAD"" Enter , play.
Pre ordered but christ when will they give us another map besides nuketown, it's one of those maps that brings out the worst in everyone, i can get a swarm on it so i can play it but i hate it. Give us the egyptian map from cod 2 :)
I'd like to see call of duty 2 maps and their guns (NO DOUBLE JUMP >: ( ) Made for PC and consoles.
It was a superb game that really brought COD into the mainstream and it was played for years and years.
Another thing i think is missing from all COD games is dismemberment, I think in terms of realism, a grenade going off or a shotgun point blank to the face should leave more of a mark than simply a cloud of red and the user dropping to the floor, not just that but impact physics ie: a shotgun flush in the chest would make the recipient fly off by several feet, this just isn't the reality in all the COD games i've played in the past and BO3 isn't any different.
Also i think the double jump feature, ever since adv warfare, is a massive mistake, it invites people to bunny hop, something which was punishable by a kick or even a ban on dedicated servers in past COD games, why allow it into the game ?
Even after all this i've still pre ordered the game as the beta, minus the problems i've listed is still a decent shooter and bo2 is getting a bit old.
@Gravity_Slave Dude you're way off, you think that if we have the brains and get up and go to build a high end rig, we simply sit there in front of a 20 inch monitor with little speakers? I think not my friend oh nononoo noooo.
My rig is linked up to a 2k monitor, 2 200Watt club speakers and a 500W amp, behind me my Pc is linked up to my TV Bed, motorised panel with a pansonic viera inside it, 3D optional, downstairs my PC is also linked to a 47 inch 3D LED TV with 5.1 surround through a yamaha amp, pads upstairs and downstairs, as for your comment about a comfy couch, I think my superking size leather TV bed with memory foam mattress beats that.
Not to mention that my rig runs games way over 100fps, black ops 2 easily over 220fps, never drops below 150, haven't tested alien isolation yet but even at 2k it's butter smooth, with a pad.
Playing with headphones on with a decent rig is superb, it's a little mundane at times yes and can be frustrating but it's simply a case of taking for granted whats been done here, I think they deserve much more credit than a 6.
An honest 8 / 8.5 would be fair.
Scariest game I've ever played, headphones on, lights out, you will jump I promise you.
