I had a sociopathic friend who liked to manipulate his friends all the time as well. I remember junior year of high school, he tricked me into harassing this girl who was a really good friend of mine. I was in JROTC at the time and I was on the Armed Drill; she went to our instructor and showed him the messages and I was kicked off. Granted it was my fault for doing it, but I was manipulated into doing it. I lost all of my scholarship opportunities to go to college, I lost a lot of friends who were in JROTC and I lost all my self-respect. And he did stuff like that all the time, especially when he was with hid girlfriend he would always put her in a bad mood too. I just chose to stop talking to him and my life's been a lot better since then.

Just don't hang out with him dude, it's not worth it whatsoever.

Texas.

-We got patriots ready to serve their new Texan Country

-Plenty of oil reserves

-College Football

-Dallas Cowboys

-We have Mexico on our side

-S***load of bases

-Governer Rick Perry

-Texas State Senators Hutchinson and Kornyn

-Gulf of Mexico for Trading

-Ton of guns

-Chuck Norris

-Red Necks

-Catholic, Baptist, and Methodist state

-Austin (Live Music Capitol of the World)

-Second Largest State. And largest state to utilize all of it's area (Alaska doesn't use all of it's land)

-Large cow and chicken sources

-Leading state in Salt, gravel and cement

-Texas A&M, which has the largest ROTC cadet Corps than any other college that isn't a Military university

-and last but not least Fort Worth, the largest military base in the United States of America.

Not to mention we would ally with a few other states that aren't Rivals to our beloved Longhorns.

Armed Drill. And for those who don't know what I'm talking about.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxbU_5o3kYw

It's practiced by mostly U.S. High Schools that have JROTC, University's with ROTC, Military Academies, and the U.S. Armed Forces. We bust our butts practicing. But it's worth all the blood sweat and tears shed during practice when we step onto Drill pad.

What was ment to be a simple ask and answer question has turned into two different topics as how to become a comissioned officer and that "Forrest is too stupid to be one."

Doesn't his drill sergeant say, "If it weren't such a waste of enlisted men I'd recommend you for officer cadidate school, gump"LastCaveMan
I always wondered what he was saying during that scene. Guess that answers my question, thank you.

The people who are saying all you need a Bachelors Degree or higher or correct. That's what my Master Sergeant told me a while back, and he's United States Air Force. Can't disagree with official personnel. And I guess they never told Forrest about how to become an Officer, because they knew he would never find out or, was mentally unfit to handle a platoon or a company all by himself. Or maybe because they just wanted Lieutenant Dan to be the superior officer and not Forrest. I mean would Forrest Gump be such a great character without Lieutenant Dan?

In the U.S. military, you can only be an officer if you have a bachelors degree or higher. If I recall correctly, Forrest graduates Alabama State University, then enlists instead of joining as a comissioned officer in the Army. I don't get it.

I won 20 bucks on the Vikings @ Saints game... That was a good idea beating up on Favre too, if they hadn't the Saints wouldn't have won. Don't get me wrong, Favre is a GREAT quarterback, but it was probably the only way the Saints could've won.
