Animal Crossing is the perfect example of a game that Causal gamers will love but can be a real hardcore challenge... I have played so many hours on the DS version and I still havent caught every fish, got every painting, or caught every bug... the game can be really brutal with stuff like thatag1052

Yea but the ds version was for the hardcore. To get your biggest house I added up the bells you need to pay and it totals over 2 million:o

Ok Im going to go out on a limb on this one... Nintendo announcing Wii Motion Plus was better for the hardcore gamer than them announcing a game everyone wants such as a Kid Icarus or whatnot... Sure we could have had one great game but this instead gives every game from here on out a chance to be so much better than it would have been otherwise. So we wont have a new DK platformer or some new IP this year, what we will have is many better games over the rest of the Wii's lifespan. That is a trade that I would be very happy to take.

I know several of you are going to say "Why should I have to pay for something that should have been in there to begin with?" Well first off perfect 1:1 was never promised but more importantly the Wii is the first its kind, generally the first gen of something like this has its problems but they arent fixed until the next generation... the fact that Nintendo is improving it in the middle of the gen instead of making us wait till next gen is freakin great.

There is no limit to the games that can be improved by this. Red Steel 2 might not suck now. Zack and Wiki uses the wiimote very well but just imagine what they could do if they made a 2nd one. Boxing on the wii might become enjoyable. The list could just go on and on.

I agree. This is the oportunity to make all those bad games good.

I think it looks a lot like the wolf transformation of twilite princess. That makes me sad:(. The wolf was very slow and boring and about 1/8 of the game you where forced to play as him. It looks like you will have to play as the werehog for 1/2 of the time so I hope it's funner.

I'll try to keep this short. DKC 1, 2, and 3, along with DK 64, were fantastic games that made me proud to be a Nintendo owner. you could argue that the DK franchise became the #3 Nintendo franchise, only behind Mario and Zelda. It has been 9 years since DK 64 came out, and there has not even been an announcement of a new DK platformer.

So what happened? Did Nintendo decide to give up on DK once Rare left? Is the Kong family doomed to play second fiddle in Smash Bros. and Mario Kart forever? Why has Nintendo seemingly abandoned this franchise?

By the gamecube videogames where getting more serious and people didnt want to play as a monkey anymore as much as they wanted a link or mario game.

I read this on the forum! If yes when?ZiggyStardust16

Animal crossing was supposed to be a suprise I guess. I was suprised by wii sports resort so I figured it was that. Wii music looks just stupid. It's like guitar hero with only the strum bar. It would only be fun with like 4 people.

Wow what a ripoff. Only people who have been playing nintendo for like 20 years will care about a new castlevania.

Me too. The only game I have to look forward to is animal crossing. I cant expect to get wii sports resort anytime soon because getting 3 add on sensors is gonna be like 60 bucks plus the game thats like 110$.
