Well a little bit before the release of the gamecube Microsoft bought out Rare and thats why the new Banjo is on the 360. The truth is that everyone would rather be playing a new mario or zelda instead of a new donkey kong so Nintendo kinda abandoned him and tried to bring him back with donkey konga but that obviously failed.
