I was very specific about where they are "privileged" (financially and intellectually). On average, Asian men earn more than white men, Asian women earn more than white women. And in education, Asian people come out on top again, attaining much higher grades than all other ethnic groups.
That said, I don't think they are "privileged". I don't believe in privilege. You get whatever you put in. If you're good at something, you will be successful, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, wealth, whatever. Plenty of people of all different backgrounds have worked their way out of poverty and made successes of themselves. Privilege (and especially "white male privilege") is a myth.
They are, you numb skull. This has been presented in countless studies already.
EDIT: As my original comment was deleted by SJWSpot, to give context for anyone reading this "discussion", I wrote a comment saying the most successful ethnic group (financially and intellectually) in America is Asians, not white males. It was deleted because, well, facts and irrational opinions don't mix...
@mcnichoj: It has become SJW rhetoric to say "Just because you have black friends, doesn't mean you're not racist" etc. but in actual fact, what he said is true.
If you were homophobic, you wouldn't go anywhere near gay people. If you were racist, you would not associate with any other race besides your own.
If you befriend those people, then you can't really have an inherent problem with them. Of course, they have to be actual friends rather than mere associates, but still...
@pcgameboy: I just think the market will reach a saturation point much sooner. Back in the PS2 days, the choice was much more limited, games were not readily available in the palm of the hand as they are through mobile now. And some people are content with that and don't feel the need to purchase a console. Then you have the people who have turned to PC. The PC market is now bigger than it has ever been and many PC gamers see very little point in buying a console. Also, the competition back in the days of the PS2 was much more stunted. Sega had just exited the hardware race, Microsoft were just finding their feet in console gaming and Nintendo had just insulted the entire gaming community by reducing their hobby to what looked like a toy (the Gamecube, as awesome as it was). The market was well and truly open for Sony to dominate. Today, Microsoft are on their third console after the runaway success of the 360, Nintendo seem to have got their shit together again and the PC is just blowing everything else out of the water in terms of technology. This all works to limit how much of the market the PS4 can hold. But who knows?
