Will work fine, just try not to OC.

EDIT - you are going to OC the CPU...hmmm...I don't know even though the CPU's running on the 45nm process...but corsairs make exceptional units...

I guess try, the worst that might happen is that you get BSOD's

Ive heard that if ure psu isnt powerful enough, it can damage the psu it self, or worst case can damage your other components. Is that true?

Thats great thanks for the advice. I really would not be wanting to take any risk of damaging my computer at all, but dont think I will be upgrading to anything that has more power consumption than this setup will.

Hi, Ive recently bought an xfx hd 4890 and an e8400 processor, which im hoping to overclock to 3.5Ghz. Ive also got 2gb of ram and 1 HD. I was just wondering if my Corsair 450 VX PSU will be enough for this set up? (I was recently using a 8800GTS 512mb and an e6750 and it was running with no problems).

Ive checked here:http://www.corsair.com/psufinder/default.aspxand it says my current psu should be ok, though I read a lot on the internet that the hd 4890 needs a 500-550 psu at least.

If anybody really knows there stuff and could help me out with this, I would really appreciate it. Obviously I would really like to keep my current PSU, dont have much money atm.

Cheers,

Dominic.

Has nobody else had this problem? When I look away from the sound source I hear nothing, as if it should be coming out of the back speakers if I had a surround sound system, really annoying.

Hi, Im having some problems with sound in a few games, its really making arkham asylum unplayable for me, and I have had it before in the mgs4 cutscenes.

In batman I hear the voices fine (when people talk in person or through the intercom) but then when I move the camera away from the voice source, I cant hear anything at all! I really find this so frustrating and its giving me a sore head, I just cant get into the game at all. I think its a problem to do with surround sound, but all my settings on ps3/tv are set to stereo, which is what I use, it just feels like its transmitting to a surround sound system. Im using hdmi for video and audio.

I also get this problem in mgs4 during the cutscenes, its really annoying. I think I get it in some other games as well, but it really hasnt effected it too much.

Has anybody else had this problem before or know how to fix it?

Cheers,

Dominic.

For me its up there with Metal Gear Solid for the ps1 and zelda ocarina of the time for the n64, absolute classic.

I dont see why people complain about it being linear? Most of my favourite games are linear, its an experience that has been created for you, just like a movie, tv series or a book.
