Damn that sucks, because I was really looking forward to playing GoW2 in nice sleek HD....I guess I'll have to bust out my SDTV then.

I recently just bought some component cables for my PS2 because I just acquired a HDTV and using these cables make the picture brighter and clearer but there is a lot more noticeable "jaggies" and aliasing.  Do I have to change some settings on my PS2 or my TV to make things look hi-def??

This kinda makes me mad but I just want the picture to look crisp and clear and im not getting that.  What to do?!?

Hey guys,I am currently seeking out a web developer who would be willing to help me create and program a website that would eventually be put out on the internet.  I want to keep the details of the site private for now but I believe that I have a good idea that could help the, dare I say, Playstation 3 community just a little bit.So, if there are any experienced programmers out there who would be willing to take on a little side-project/hobby that could possibly turn into something big....message me at ascendantofrain@gmail.com!I look forward to hearing from anybody and I hope to get something moving here!!

For games such as GoW and Shadow of the Colossus, both of which use progressive scan, do you have to have hi-def cables to be able to view those games in HD?  I am eagerly awaiting GoW II and I can't wait to see what it looks like in Prog. Scan.  If I have to buy cables, I will -- just for GoW II!!

I am sure that if you REALLY wanted chrome THAT bad that you could probably disassemble the PS3, carefully of course, and spray paint all the parts you wanted chromed.
Just like a lot of people did with the Guitar Hero controllers.

I have been looking to buy an HDTV lately, and I did, and I was wondering...

A lot of the smaller HDTVs have a native resolution of 720p although they can still scale up to 1080i -- my question is -- what would be the difference between the two?
Would the difference be noticable on a 23" HDTV?
Thanks to all who respond!!!

[QUOTE="dooguesgoober4"]I was browsing google the other day trying to find some way to be able to use the SixaxiS on PC games and I have found it...

I am not sure if anyone here has posted this but I have found it great to be able to play games like Half-Life 2 and F.E.A.R. on my PC.  I was actually planning on buying both for the PS3 but since I have found this I don't think i'll be buying them for the PS3 because obviously the PC will have better graphics!!!

For those wanting to know how to do this, here you go:
1. Download and unpack this file -- PS3 Sixaxis Driver.
2. Plug in the SixaxiS via USB.
3. Install the filter driver (libusb-win32-filter-bin-0.1.10.1.exe)
4. Run the SixaxiS driver file -- ps3sixaxis_en.exe -- just once.
5. Press the PS button on your controller and you should be ready to play.

I have, so far, gotten the controller to work with just FEAR and Half-Life 2 with fantastic results.  The only downside is no tilty support but this is a great way to play these games just like if you were going to buy them for the PS3.

You still need to configure all the buttons and axis manually though but if anyone would like to know how to do it for the two games mentioned, I will be more than willing to supply you with a .cfg file or a description of how to use it.

Have fun and happy gaming! GARRYTH
yes but can you play fear on a 52 inch hdtv.

AHH you have a point....BUT...most sites have said that the graphics are blurry on the PS3 version for FEAR...and who knows about Half-Life2 because it keeps getting pushed back.
