Alright, now a question about myself. :)

I am not sure whether I should get my HDTV or my PS3(60 GB) Ā first.

If I get my tv first, I can enjoy high-def programming and an extra monitor for my pc - and eventually I will get PS3.

If I get PS3 first, I will still be playing it on a standard def tv for quite a long time.

Any opinions of which item I should spend my saved money on first?

By the way, here is the tv I'm getting: http://samsung.com/Products/TV/LCDTV/LNS2651DXXAA.asp

Hopefully, extra controllers will be our biggest priority when it comes to accesories, ulike Microsoft, which has already realeased god-knows how many accessories/add-ons to the system. *sigh

What do you guys this about this HDTV? I saw in-store at Walmart, and the picture quality was probably the best out of all the HDTVs there at Walmart. The only problem that I have with it is that it's only 1366 x 768 resolution, and not 1080p. However, I believe the PS3 would still be able to display in high-definition on it, as the tv has an HDMI input! What do you guys think about this HDTV? Here is the link: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=4698017

Thanks!

That looks like a nice lcd, but I would personally not get it simply because of the contrast ratio. Others may not feel the same way, but if I am using this tv to play video games with a new PS3, I want beautiful, vibrant colors to make the game really come to life. Apart from that, it's perfect and at a decent price. And as I said in my last post, you're not going to find a (smaller) tv with a resolution of 1080i/p. But don't worry, PS3 games will still look awesome at 720p, especially if you've been using a standard def tv forever - like most of us have. :)

I just ordered a SHARP AQUOS LC-26D4U 26" Tv off amazon. could someone tell me if this looks like a good deal and if it is good for the PS3. Heres the link below- http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000AQE78A/ref=pd_cp_e_title/103-8591423-0661431?%5Fencoding=UTF8&v=glance&n=172282 Thanks alot guys.jman7717

That looks like a great tv. There's only one problem. First it says the contrast ratio is 4000:1, which is really high for an lcd tv, but then in the technical specs, it says the contrast ratio is only 800:1. Find out which one it is, because if it's only 800:1, I would keep looking.

And to you people who want a 1080i/p tv, you're not going to get one on a smaller screen such as a 26". Sorry. Save a few extra bucks and get a larger screen.

Isnt the cell situation a problem that forces them to produce more to get enough working ones to use. I heard this: Only 20% of the prouced CELLS have all 7 or 8 cores working. Which means to get 100 working processors they need to produce 500 of them. So launch systems wont be affected by that problem. Do i make sense or am i sounding like a total noob

So you're saying that won't hurt them at launch..: /...whatever

1080p is technically supposed to be a little better than 1080i because it's progressive and gets rid of some jaggies.
