[QUOTE="dooly420"][QUOTE="Nathan_Drake"][QUOTE="OhSnapitz"][QUOTE="gamer620"][QUOTE="Nathan_Drake"]And why does EVERY 360 killer-app have to be a futuristic shooter of sorts? Halo, Gears of War and now this....it's getting cliche. Story looks to be a mixed bag of a Star Wars ripoff, including it's cutscene presentation.

Hypocrit much?I amgoing to do exactly what you did.I am going to intentionally forget aboutcertain games just to prove my point. PS3 killer apps, Resistance, Killzone 2, Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted. Wow... those certainly look like shooters to me :/
PS3 has Killer apps??? :?
FUTURISTIC. Always has to fall on the futuristic war card. And yeah, they're all shooters. And when the heck was R&C a shooter? Platform game anyone? :? . As for Uncharted, it isn't futuristic and it's 50% shooter, 50% tomb raider platformer/explorer. So no, I'm not being a Hypocrite.
if you consider mass effect a shooter, then ratchet and uncharted are shooters as well.I know it's RPG, I know. My bad on that. But the way it's marketed, does it not look as though they're putting a greater emphasis on the shooting element than the role-playing?
does uncharted not look as though they're putting a greater emphasis on the shooting element than the exploring? does r&c not look as though they're putting a greater emphasis on the shooting element than the platforming? the answer to all three questions are no. yes combat is a big focus in video games, but when it comes to an rpg, platformer, adventure, etc. then the combat takes a backseat to the other, more important, elements of the game.
