wehertn
I love MW2 but it's unlikely to get GOTY 9.5 >>9.0
not for me I prefer controller just for the simple reason that I don't like to be to close to the screen, even though k/m feels good and the aiming is great the controller just has a feel to it.

The media's at it again, blaming video games for society's woes. This time the target is Modern Warfare 2, particularly the scene which allows the player to be a terrorist in order to convince the enemy that he is indeed trust worthy. FoxFixed News doesn't see it that way, in fact on their morning show Fox and Friends, co-host Steve Doocy interviewed two guys, one defending the game, the other trying to prove why it's too violent. There was no clear dialogue between the men, just mostly noise with Steve Doocy aiding the guy who's against the tilte. They asked whether or not the right protocols were in place to keep this "violent" game out of the hands of children, to which the defender replied:"All the right protocols are in place, the game clearly has the 'M' for mature rating and Retailers have this one under control." He also noted that it was advertised heavily as a game that should be played by mature audiences only, and parents are well aware that such a title should not be bought for under age children. However, his explanation wasn't enough for Steve Doocy."Yeah, this game allows 8yr olds to become terrorists."The guy defending the title shook his head in disgust at the statement the morning show host had just made. I sat down with my mouth dropped as I looked at the TV screen. Note, I don't normally watch Fox Fixed News at all; this was just coincidence this morning. But who's surprised? That News network has a reputation for reporting fallacies anyway; I'll leave them to Keith Olberman.[QUOTE="mythrol"]Do you have money invested in Microsoft? Is there any reason to laud the increase in sales? hot114more hardware = more software = more dev support. = repeat circle
ehh no system is lacking in dev support the only thing is with that money 360 hasnt been able to get good first party support.

It's in the middle of a transition to be just like consoles. According to this guy, the PC will be exactly the same as consoles and no longer superior to them. The PC will essentially become a console itself. Thus, the PC is dead. Maybe it can be called a Personal Console a few years down the road.

it could die just like downloading killed music business and stores.
Well PC gamers already pirate games and such so they seem to be trying to go down the same road as the music industry. Question is, if PC Gaming did die, or "casualize", into consoles, who would really care besides PC gamers?
it depends consoles could be at risk aswell most likely Xbox 360 the PS3 is more hacker proof I am not sure about wii but I hear they already have programs to emulate it.
more hackers = less sales for software.

Huh what? He's complaining that the PC is being brought down, so I'm laughing at him because his system is dying while consoles are growing. It's really not that hard to understand
BPoole96
Except your wrong. That's the concept. The system is not dying. It's in the middle of a transition, from higher end exclusives to more casual/multiplat games.
The system has a higher gaming install base, since the beginning of this gen than all consoles combined.
How can a system with the fastest and highest growth rate, be dying?

Congratulations consolites,
You sould feel proud. Due to your acceptance of mediocrity you have now brought the death of the best system of all, the PC.
Now that companies have seen they can treat you for the sheep that you are, buying anything and everything, including DLC codes,
attrocious multiplayer gameplay, etc... they have now moved on to treat the PC gamers the same. So not only have you allowed yourselves
to be treated as dogs you have now spread the disease of mediocrity to those who since the inception of gaming itself have refused
to become sheep. The likes of Activision, Infinity Ward, ID Software, etc... have now replicated the mediocrity they put on you year in and year out
onto those who demand better; PC gamers. You can try to refute this by posting scores, sales figures, supposed pirating numbers; nevertheless,
the facts remain that you are singlehandidly killing the PC market one sheepish purchase at a time.
scoobiesnackarf
I think it's mostly hackers downloading games that brought down the PC
