creationism has zero evidence. Evolution and the age of the Earth and the universe has evidence. Tangable, visable, testable, replicatable evidence. WHat is true and false in this topic is very very clear. The scientific method is the best tool we have, creationism is only believe by A) idiots or B) people not properly exposed to the evidence that destroys it

Name calling is often a powerful persuasive tool, as is stating an assumption to be truth. The persuasive tactic I am using I would personally call it discrediting... And on that note, I am going to jump back out of this one. Nothing productive ever results from a debate strictly between two individuals with their minds made up.

How anyone could believe something as ridiculous as creationism is astounding.

To that statement I will give a statement of equal worth....

I have one comment to add to this discussion, whatever you believe probably stems from something someone has told you that you deem to be a reliable source of information. Very few here on this message board I presume have actually taken all of there believes and compared those believes to actual evidences, studies, or anything really. Actually, when you really think about it. What do you know that you actually discovered on your own through life experiences or actual experiments? How much knowledge do you have that is first hand opposed to a source that tells you what they did and what conclusions they drew from their actions/experiments? My point is, what is true and what is false? And more importantly, do you have the necessary knowledge to recognize the difference? Does anyone really have the tools to tell fact from falsehood without first hand experiences? It appears I am in a ranting kinda mood...

Probably because those people your harassing know Obama sucks and don't want to hear your bs.

Storm_Marine
Here's a perfect example, people don't like being told they are wrong. So if you went up to this gentleman/lady and attempted to persuade him/her to vote for your preferred candidate he/she would interpret it as a personal attack on what he/she believes is true. People who want to make an informed decision would seek out information sources on their own. Very rarely will you encounter an undecided voter that will actually appreciate your input.

Fiction tends to be boring if horrible things don't happen at some point, so I reject your claim OP.Laihendi
The whole reason we fall into a good fictitious story is because it allows us to do things that we can never do, or escape things that we would rather forget about for a while. You can't say fiction is better than reality, because fiction is part of our reality. Even if it is ephemeral....

I think game manuals are a thing of the past. With games becoming easier and easier to just pick up and play. Gone are the days of not knowing how to do something and consulting the manual. With the rise of the internet being so readily available, most people would do a quick Google search on their phone rather than actually try to sift through a manual. I think we're just going to have to accept the future while tearfully waving goodbye to the past.

Orange box has a bunch of awesome games. Also, there's no point in getting l4d 1 anymore. The campaigns from L4D1 were added to L4D2. So, buy you L4D2, and you essentially get both. I'm actually kind of surprised they still sell the first one.

There is actually a big difference between l4d 1&2. The verses modes have two completely different ways of scoring. Personally, I found the first game's method more appealing. The second makes it a little easier to for the two teams to stay close in points, where as the first between rounds there could be huge swings, with one side gaining a huge lead only to loose it in a landside win by the other team...
