and SFIV probably wouldnt look as goodDante865
Sorry I laughed at that comment. What does SFIV have to do with Tekken? At all? "Look good" all graphics these days look good; SFIV is still a "2d" fighting game because you can't side step, step into the forground or any of that nonsense. The only thing different old street fighters and SFIV is it's rendered in three dimensions.
Tekken may have been "Revolutionary" to the 3d fighter genre, but hasn't done ANYTHING for the 2d fighter genre.
I'll say it was a decent game, but the learning curve and balance of the game is embarrasing to say the least same with Soul Calibur, or any 3d fighter for that matter. I literally beat Soul Calibur by standing in place and mashing a button; In SC3 only the last boss managed to kill me while I was doing this.
Tournament wise 3D fighters are usually determined by the first person to get launched into the air, or first person to fall.
I'm speaking completely from a hardcore fighting game player perspective, the game might've been "cool" and good looking to some, but the actual gameplay in my opinion is a terrible.
In a more extreme perspective, EvO (world's biggest fighting game tournament still has a Street Fighter II bracket and a Street Fighter Alpha bracket, but Tekken gets replaced by the newer versions every year. The game has no mainstay quality.
