Perhaps they believed that xbone was more interesting and desired ... now they see the reality about the real apeal of the public about the Kinect

Pay the full price for half of the product. Really, for a product that is not required for the operation, but it can improve the experience of consumer use, microsoft should have done a backup plan smarter than just say that the kinect is not compulsory and sells it along with the XBONE. Probably the kinect will be unused or underused

So without the kinect, Xbox one will become a Xbox 1/2?

Don't expect a XBONE price drop ...they'll made a lot of bundles to justify the mandatory kinect.
