"Battalion Wars 2 is the highly anticipated sequel to the original Battalion Wars on the Gamecube. It is being developed by Kuju Entertainment and is set to include online multiplayer. 

The game was first announced at the 2006 Leipzig Games Convention, and has since been issued an imprecise 'September' launch date in a recent press release from Nintendo. 

However, GoNintendo brings us news that the latest issue of Nintendo Power lists the game as coming on September 24, which is less than four months away at the time of writing.

There is still no word on a European, Australian or Japanese launch, but hopefully there will be soon. We'll keep you posted.
