Kind of funny, what the difference between the people who played it and the xbox fanboys here. I am amazed that not one person has exclaimed it being too linear (similar to rogue squadron). That is the only problem with the game.
If you read up on the article's about lair, you can't state how it will be repetitive. You will have 3 different fighting mechanics, but there will also be combo add-ons that will make this game not repetive. The problem with the game though, is the fact that the game is forcing you to do certain objectives. If you notice, it is forcing you to go kill the rhinos, next you have to kill the dragons, and after that you have to go and kill the boss. This was the only problem with the rogue squadron games.

It seems like gamespot liked everry aspect of the game.
If you ask me, this game isnt living up to what it could be.
You could have acrobatic dragon combat, evasive manuvers etc, you could have realistic physics of the dragon body, you could have the ability to dismount and summon your dragon at will
but instead, you have a game where the enemies are like target practice (the soliders stand perfectly still, and the enemy dragon fly in straight lines), you have a game where the dragon turn around, and theres no whiplash of his tail, instead it remaind perfectly horizontal. Then you have those scripted dragon fights, i can see it getting old after 3 tries.
The gameplay looks boring. you press one button on dragon back to shoot fireballs, and one to plow through enemies on the ground. woopti do.
on the plus side, the water and zrmour reflections are pretty, this game could be so much more.

Go to ign, and read it up. You aren't just pressing one button. Just learn about the game, this has to be the most frusterating thing I have ever read, you gave your opinion without any truth.
[QUOTE="Timesplitter14"]Maybe not even A.
I'm not a lem or a sheep, in fact, the only next-gen console I own is a PS3. But I think everyone knows that this game has weak gameplay. EXTREMELY weak gameplay, and for that reason, it will flop hard. Please Cows, don't hype it or you'll regret it. And think about it, if you hype it less than A and it reaches AA... it's just better!

How is the gameplay "weak"? To me it looks like good use of the Six-axis combined with large-scale intense combat, epic finishing moves, and excellent graphics.
What else could you ask for a game that focuses on flying dragons? Tell me.
Guns and a chainsaw.
[QUOTE="drsports1980"]I may be blind, but where is the weak gameplay? Are you saying that xbox 360 fanboys actually know what weak gameplay is? When they keep talking about how good pdz, and kameo is?Timesplitter14
Lems have nothing to do with this, the gameplay just looks horrible
I don't think I am watching the same videos as you. Personally it seems to be excellent. I remember the old videos, and to compare them to the new gametrailers.com videos is a joke. This game looks alot of fun, and have similarities to some of the most acclaim games, god of war to give an example. All those slow-mo stuff where you press a button and you kill the dragon, etc. Also did you see the boss battle? That seemed pretty epic, and amazing. You also feel this epic feeling, when you are just rampaging through 1000's of men: by pressing a few buttons. This has no similarities at all with dynasty warriror, seeing how the epicness is inexistant there, and you are just pressing x,x,x,x,x,x,x 100 times. Also the graphics are vastly superior to the ones of dynasty warriror.
What next? Are you going to state how the gameplay mechanics are bad? Go read up ign article, every time you beat one of the levels, you get a new move. This makes the game have more advanced gameplay mechanics as well. Also, if you notice, there is 3 different battle stances, air combat, on-foot combat, and close range air combat. This will make the game not repetitive at all and will make the game all together fun.
There is also some very cool features that were shown in the gametrailer video. You could eat enemies, grab a rhino's head and rip it off, and throw the head at enemies. Also, you could pick up enemies and throw them off the bridge. I don't see any game with this much of a different combat scene. Unlike geow, which was a shooter, that did have only one type of combat stance was excellent. Some people can say the similar thing for any game, but I believe that the gameplay mechanics in this game are actually much more advanced then drakengard. So, please don't tell me not to hype a game, that I actually know much more detail, and other stuff about this game.
If anyone thinks this game is underwhelming, I am simply amazed. I guess you have never played a air combat game in your life,
