@Xristophoros: I'm giving XIII another chance as well after strongly disliking it on the XBOX360. Playing it on PC at a solid 60 fps is surprisingly making a huge difference and I'm enjoying it this time. Choppy frame rates can ruin pretty much any game for me, and that was a big issue outside of battle with this game.

XIII is still probably my least favorite main entry in the series, but I'm pretty stoked to find I can actually enjoy it. XII is in my top 3. It easily has my favorite battle system and exploration.

@PS2fweak: Thanks for explaining that. I don't think the original article explained it very clearly either.

@metallinatus: I think you'll find quite a few regular fans who prefer IV, V, and VI over VII, VIII, and IX. It probably has a lot to do with whether the person started playing FF on the SNES or the PSX. To be fair, the series gained a lot more popularity and new fans during the PSX era.

@pelvist: I must be seeing a different player or they fixed it, because there is a volume slider on the video player I'm seeing.

Btw, your avatar looks really familiar, like something I played on the old Atari back in the day. What game is that from?

Sakurai brings up a good point. There's nothing wrong with some constructive criticism or trying to express an honest negative opinion. It's when people start to overreact and become completely disrespectful to the creator of the content that it can become a problem.

I think it's important to keep in mind that no artist 'owes us' anything, no matter what they've created in the past. They can create the art however they envision it, and no one is required to buy it. If the work sucks that's fine, let's talk about how the work sucks, but nothing good is going to come out of making insults or attacks against the person who created it.

I hope no one wants to be like the child who resorts to personal attacks when they don't get what they want.

It's important to keep in mind that just because a model is really really ridiculously good looking, it doesn't mean that they too can't not die in a freak gasoline fight accident. Blue steel.

Sounds great. I wasn't planning on playing through the main game more than a 2nd time and I'd like to max out a few more weapons. It's fun to try out a variety of weapons, but without the resources to upgrade them as much as my main weapon, I end up sticking with the ones I'm used to (usually the Tonitrus +10 and the Blade of Mercy +8 as my secondary.)

I'm estimating it would take about half a play through to gain another 60 insight anyways, so it's really only going to mean maxing out another one or two weapons for me. After hearing that the DLC is tough as nails, I wouldn't mind a little extra power to try out some of the new weapons with :)
