@Evenios: Sooner rather than later I hope! I'll probably end up getting it on PS4 and PC if it's good enough because I wouldn't want to wait more than 3-6 months after the first release.

@googliagen: Me too, except I actually trudged through both games despite the motion control. They still had their moments but I'd never want to spend that many hours doing those hand motions again.

@jasonredemption: lemander has a point based on the video they showed. It only looks like the resolution is increased. I was hoping for the full "Wind Waker" treatment and was excited when I read "graphical update" (not quite the same implication as overhaul Mr. Reading Comprehension), but based on the video it looks pretty minor unfortunately. The actual video uses the words, "enhanced visuals".

Also, nothing in lemander's statement implied he or she didn't read about the "graphical update" because lemander was commenting on the way the video looks. You seem to be assuming the person is American, and you're showing off your own attitude of blatant stereotyping.

@zzamaro: Are you sure it's the same people who are arguing both sides? I think it's more likely that we're hearing all kinds of different opinions but you're assuming that they're all from the same people.

I was hoping Cobert would mention the lawsuit situation King made against other companies for using the word Candy and Saga or talked about how they tried to sue another company for making a game similar to Candy Crush before King ripped the idea off for their own profit.

Carl Sagan is one of my heroes right up there with Shigeru Miyamoto, Hironobu Sakaguchi, Nobuo Uematsu, and Dave Grohl.

It's really cool to hear that he had a video game idea. It seems to me that No Man's Sky will be the closest thing to that vision although I don't think it's planned to be based on the real cosmos and we'll see how educational it is.

How interesting would it be if the secret plot of the game the developers have been hiding is to find a way back to Earth just like Sagan had suggested?

@Xristophoros: I think I understand your point a little bit better now. Still, the comments you made previously about a video game company supposedly pandering to 13 year old boys combined with your praise for tastefully presented violence gives me the impression that you are offended when a video game uses sexual situations for pure entertainment without some sort of intellectual justification.

If you've been reading the same comments on this page that I have, I'm curious if you'd agree that most of the complaints were being made against the type of artistic censorship that appeases a minority of people who are offended by crude animations. The complaints I read were not from angry teens who get upset when the bad guy takes their lite porn away as you seem to have implied.

You do make a good point that many of us are desensitized to violence. It's apparently more socially acceptable to depict people being beaten, tortured, and murdered in media than it is to show a person naked (at least here in the US.)

With that said, do you feel like the original animation where R. Mika slaps her ass in front of the camera and spins a rainbow on her hand is in poor taste, while bashing people in the head with a brick in The Last of Us is tasteful by playing some role in thoughtful or insightful commentary?

@Xristophoros: One of the most interesting things I find here is that is that you seem to be saying violence in video games is tasteful and mature, but showing a lot of skin or a sexual situation is immature and perverted. Perhaps you (and many other) people are more comfortable with virtual violence than sexual situations?

In my opinion, finding skimpy clothing to be distasteful or offensive does not make a person more mature.

@Dacendarin: Is that because the human body is offensive to some people?

@tempaccess: That may be true in some cases, but another common reason comes from gamers who want to be able to play games in front of their spouse, kids, or even parents without offending them or being embarrassed by the content lol.
