Should I format my PS3 or just send it back and get a refund. I really have had enough now.
I have one very strange problem and I can't fix it.
STRANGE PROBLEM. This has only just started to happen (about a week ago) I brought a dvd, put it in, everything worked fine and then the sound would cut off for a while. It happens at set places on the dvd. The dvd works on my PS2 and my DVD player. So far now three DVD's have done it.
The very strange thing is that it happens in action scenes, when a lot is going on. I can't work it out.
I tried connecting the AV lead back in, and running it straight to my amplifier (DIDN'T WORK) I tried not using my amp and going through the TV sound (DIDN'T WORK) I tried ticking different boxs in the sound options for HDMI sound (DIDN'T WORK)
Problem number 2 is that it now only starts 50% of the time, when I put a disc in. It just goes black and locks-up.
QUESTION. Is there a way to save my ps2 memory card on my Ps3 if I format the drive.I really don't wanna lose it all.
QUESTION. Should I admit defeat and get my money back? Cause I can't think what else to do....

I am running my PS3 to my TV with a HDMI cable. Samsung 37 inch new LCD tv PS3 about 2 months old with the newest version
Ok I live in england, own a PAL PS3. So if I buy a game from japan or america it will work?????? Has anybody here actually tried it? I have noticed that my games don't say PAL on them. I really want to believe it's true, I just can't till I hear someone has actually done it. Because I'm sure that game AGAREST SENKI will never get a Euro release, maybe an US. I WANT IT!!!!!!!!!!!
