why does the virtual console suck so much? it's been a year already and the only notable games are mario bros and link's awakening. there are so many good GBA games out there, like what about the ambassador games? i've been rather underwhelmed with the eshop
duh555's forum posts
assassin's creed is one of the most boring games i've ever played. maybe i'm just not equipped for that genre or something.
[QUOTE="duh555"]except you know they would play it up over the top, as a selling point. which would drive me to not buy it.this isn't the 60s or something. if the game is good then sure, i wouldn't care.
ChikaraShref
i was gonna mention that but i figured it would fall under the "game is good" criteria.

i'm normally not "elitist" when it comes to these types of things but did anyone else not even bother to read the OP after seeing the ridiculously capitalized title backed up by a username of charizard### lol
Yeah that's exactly my point.
Just to clarify, you never talk about the actual games in the threads you enter.
But yet you feel this strong urge of giving your opinion of a system and its games without having played them.
SuperFlakeman
in his defense you just described about 95% of the system wars userbase
[QUOTE="duh555"][QUOTE="heretrix"]Or it just makes him a reviewer that has his own opinion and isn't scared of pissing anyone off. Crazy I know. You should score games like everyone else because that's what people expect. No wonder game reviewing is in such a terrible place right now. I don't envy these guys.heretrix
there's a difference between having your own opinion and just playing devil's advocate for the sake of getting attention
Since you are not him, how do you know? Oh wait, you don't.because it's not hard to put two and two together? think about it, nearly every major gaming site has already given the game more or less 9+. if gamespot did the same it would just be swept under the carpet as another good review. now on the other hand if one were to give the game a score no one was expecting, well then you can expect it to spark controversy and increase gamespot traffic.
i'm not saying this is 100% the case, but from what i've read his written review is questionable in that it's more of a "im gonna find everything wrong with this game first, and then compliment it later" type of review.
the fact that people continually are arguing about the score and how I didn't even know about this review until i was linked to it, on ANOTHER gaming site proves the fact that giving off the wall reviews will increase traffic and in a sense, will promote gamespot.
[QUOTE="bambix3d"][QUOTE="CajunShooter"]Horray you're a tool! he's right thoughHorray for Tom McShea being honest with his reviews. Once again not falling into the Blockbuster Exclusive must score 8.5-9.5 range.
Really wish more reviewers were like Tom
Jandurin
but he really isn't
(he isn't right, he's still a tool)
[QUOTE="fueled-system"][QUOTE="lightleggy"] since he did not feared the nintendo influence and was not blinded by the nostalgia, he made a fair review and granted a fair score. unlike pretty much other reviewer who just says "OH ITS TEH ZELDA IM JUST GOING TO IGNORE EVERYTHING BAD THIS GAME HAS BECAUSE ITS FROM NINTENDO!"heretrixso trying to be the "cool" kid and going in a different direction then everyone else makes him a good reviewer? No it makes him a terrible version of Jim SterlingOr it just makes him a reviewer that has his own opinion and isn't scared of pissing anyone off. Crazy I know. haha, never in a million years would i have expected a major zelda game to get a 7.5. im not reading any reviews in fear of any spoilers but hot damn his review better be justified. sometimes i don't even know if gamespot just gives ridiculous reviews to get publicity...
in any case, still buying it!
