I disagree, less closet gays=more fake gays. But I don't see homosexuality as a born thing, I see it as a grown up this way sort of thing that's fairly random.

It's gotten "overnight approval" because everyone's so careful about being politically correct these days. Everything except "African American" is racist, most slang terms that dont mean anything offensive have suddenly become racist or curse words. But, while homosexual animals do exist, they are not in every species. And yes they have, but it seemed to become offensive to not support it very quickly, and became integrated into media in less than 2 months. Which is pretty big since it's been abnormal for 2000 years.
