[QUOTE="Nibroc420"][QUOTE="imaps3fanboy"] Nothing wrong with jumping on a bandwagon if it supports human rights..imaps3fanboy

Ehh, which right is that?

Fair treatment in society, and marriage rights

But is there equality to christians?

Also, most christians don't follow the bible and aren't real christians. It's too twisted. 99.9% of "christians" are going to hell, if it exists.

[QUOTE="CreasianDevaili"] Well, naturally, people want what other people have. Then there are people who want people to have what other people have because some people dont want them to have it. So gay marriage revolves around a simple notion. Communism.Nibroc420

I lol'd. But I have heard that married people get tax breaks sometimes so it may not be 100% true. But, the more we accept it the more people will become gay Although, the only downside I see is us not breeding as many americans, and possibly higher STD rates.

It's actually a good thing. It would reduce the population, allowing us to feed a higher % of the earth (even if it's minute) Now if we could only deal with those fundamentalists who insist God tells them to have 26+ children...

I think the problem with poverty is location and the government. Sometimes I think about the positives of that red circled capital a...

lol...the more we accept won't change who is and who isn't gay

I disagree, less closet gays=more fake gays. But I don't see homosexuality as a born thing, I see it as a grown up this way sort of thing that's fairly random.

I overlooked that part. That was a fairly interested time actually. For society to be flipped from the way it is now.

Well maybe not a fad. :P

But it seems like practically overnight it became accepted almost completely. Again, no offense to anyone.

It's gotten "overnight approval" because everyone's so careful about being politically correct these days. Everything except "African American" is racist, most slang terms that dont mean anything offensive have suddenly become racist or curse words. Everyone's scared they might be frowned upon, because everyone else is so uptight about being PC these days.Nibroc420

This is my main theory, but I think it might also be a "jump on the bandwagon" sort of thing.

[QUOTE="dunl12496"]

It seems almost as a fad. There's always been movements but why does it seem as if it came out of nowhere.

I was browsing the archives of Cyanide and Happiness, and there was a comic in 2005 where the jokingly killed someone because they were for gay marriage. I'm not trying to offend anyone, but is this rushed into? And is it even natural? How did it become accepted so fast?

imaps3fanboy

1- It is natural, example: homosexual animals 2- Pretty sure they've been fighting for rights for decades 3- It's still not widely accepted, here on GS it is, but I would say at least half 40% of Americans don't support it

But, while homosexual animals do exist, they are not in every species. And yes they have, but it seemed to become offensive to not support it very quickly, and became integrated into media in less than 2 months. Which is pretty big since it's been abnormal for 2000 years.
