You are on the internet and you couldn't use google to find the answer to your question? Seriously kid, this post took you longer than it takes to press a button on a search engine. Google is there for a reason, use it.

Me and my friend have been playing WOW for a couple months now, but he doesn't seem to take the game seriously enough.

Everytime I even mention starting on a PVP server to him, he says no immediately. He always wants to play PVE, and is never open to working in groups - even small ones or ones with random people. I try to explain to him how the PVE game really waters down the whole point of PVP, and kind of takes away part of the game in doing so, and I have emphasized how he can have characters on different servers, which I am not really sure if he grasps. None of our characters are really that high-leveled yet, his strongest character is like a level 35-40 warlock and the rest of ours are like 20 or under.

I know he wants to have fun playing the game, but he isn't taking things seriously enough. He always makes female characters - something I have since accepted but it's still weird for me because I look at it as making a character that represents yourself. But he said the reason for this is the male humans look cavemanlike, which is understandable because I feel they could have better customization options as well - this doesn't explain why he made a female night elf recently though. (Kinda freaky...yeah...)

And with professions...anymore he just wants to choose mining and skinning so he can sell the stuff to make money, completely ignoring the whole beneficial point of professions. He could choose professions that actually benefit his class and our group, but he hasn't been taking it seriously as of late. He seems more concerned with making gold than anything.

I just know that one day, when he and I make it to the big quests and raids at the end of the game, he is going to complain because he "didn't pick the right character", and will drag us both down by either starting over from scratch or else just giving up on the game altogether. Or else he will just get 'bored' after completing most of the quests because there won't be enough replay value for him once he reaches level 80.

So...how can I convince my friend to actually play the game more seriously as though he 'is' the character, and to at least work on one of the things I mentioned above?

You have got to be fu***** shi**** me. Are you serious? No, it can't be, please tell me you just copy and pasted this from somewhere and didn't actually take the time to whine to a forum about your little game.

Go outside kid. Be careful though, you may die from a level 1 bunny rabbit.

Both are an illusion of the three-dimensional self so the answer is both are equally unimportant in the grand scheme of things.

The world as you know it will not be here after 2012 so you won't have to worry about it.

Armed Assault with all setttings maxed and vision distance all the way up puts quite a bigger strain on my computer than Crysis does. Oblivion does too with all of the texture enhancement mods.

I'm having fun playing as soldier, I just prefer the soldier/assault class in all games though, I do enjoy spec ops stuff though so I will probably give the Infiltrator a go once I finish the game once.

Specs:

Gigabyte EP35-DS3L
Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 @ 2.85ghz
2x2gb G.Skill DDR2 800
MSI R4850 @ 700/1100

I was wondering if I would see an improvement in overall performance by switching from Windows XP 32 bit to Windows XP 64 bit or Vista 64 bit, and if so, should I go with XP 64 or Vista 64? One of the things I should mention is that Windows XP 32 is only recognizing my RAM as 3.5gb, not the full 4 gb. Just wanted to ask to see if it would be worth it for gaming and other applications, I have a copy of XP and Vista 64 just haven't used them.

Thanks.
