I paid good money for my games, I worked really hard in a job I hate to earn that money. Now my lazy "friends" who I happen to make contact with in a CS source match back in 2009 gets to play my games for free, while I sit at work stressing out. Then when I get home he can totally pwn me at my own games... I may share with my brother though... hopefully there is an option to select who you want to share them with? Awesome idea though.
The person who even thought those ideas were great should have been fired, surely someone at MS is connected to reality and the community and know that they were stupid ideas. Even saying those things at a E3 press conference; one of the biggest entertainment and gaming events of the year is just an insult. Still rather have a PS4 after years of owning a 360, 1 because it is cheaper and 2 it looks nicer and now 3 people at MS are clearly so clever they lose common sense.
Thanks for the review, I just saw this on steam and was about to buy it because there was no demo. But the most stupid thing has to be the micro transactions, only to lose it 10secs into the game. I couldn't believe this at first so had to read a few more reviews. The only way this game could get any worse is if it was pay monthly too... or is it?
Well, I think Diablo 3 was a first for constant online connection (other than MMO's etc)? Plus they didn't anticipate the amount of people logging on day 1. Still it's no excuse, maybe they could have figured they needed more servers with the amount of pre-orders made; if Developers receive that information before release I don't know; I'm sure they do. Sim City as far as I can tell has been done wrong in every way. The Sim City games have big followings (like Diablo games) and EA should have anticipated that for the 1st 3 months you need a lot of servers; learn from others mistakes... then if players being logged in drops you can gradually lower the server count. I think this is a true example why reviewers need to follow up on their reviews after 3-6months (especially those that are broken). We (the consumers) need to know if these issues have been addressed.
So basically its a mini pc with slotting new stuff in and out. Just designed so its easier than assembling the pc yourself. Well done Valve and Xi3. Going to be great year for games consoles, hopefully with new xbox, new PS, ouya, gamestick, Nvidia shield and this. Piston has the best name though. Imagine taking that to LAN's; so easy!!.
