Is it just me, there is no difference except the frame rates are higher with DX9? Think it just needs time to get better.

Game looks little bit better in places. The water for example looks better as it should. Like Draco and others have said as long as the game plays great it doesn't matter what the graphics are like, like many other games have succeeded without great graphics.

Useful for the average n00b. But I'm sure most of us will already know all of this. Not really a guide on tweaking, more a guide on setting your game up to play.

So glad I'm a fan of RTS or all these games would be pointless. They all look good. I got Supreme Commander. I probably go for world in conflict but I do love my base building and getting defences up and running. I probably just go for the highest rated by gamespot ;).

Actually I was looking at future releases, where I see nothing for me at this moment to buy a PS3. There no point me buying one now for £500 with only two games worth playing on release in my opinion (motorstorm and Resistance fall of man). I can wait till it becomes a reasonable price with some more games.

I'm furious at this. I was furious at the news that PS3 was delayed to next year for us anyway. But this really takes the piss. It was probably delayed because they decided to take the emotion engine out. I have owned a PS1, Playstation 2 (it broke after getting disk errors for using it to much) and now own the smaller Compact PS2. I don't mind if they take that emotion engine out as long as they reduce the price by at least £100 (we are already getting charged more for what it is in the USA and we have missing parts; and it is delayed). I do tend to play classic ps1 games on ps2 like Destruction Derby and would like the option to play older games on ps3. I'm not buying a PS3 (I wasn't going to anyway for that price) They have given me a even better reason not to buy one. I'm happy with my compact ps2 and x360 (which has a huge selection of better games). p.s. I can't wait to see how this launch goes. I would laugh my ass off if they get shops to open at midnight and not a single person buys a ps3 on launch day. That would teach Sony where it hurts, in their pockets.

SadisticSid, it's not to help Magnetic drives it is to help you have better RAM without having to buy more expensive RAM modules (nothing to do with Hard Drives). Anyway nice idea MS but I'm still not buying Vista.

Yea true but not to sure how that works. Why doesn't vista just let you have readyboost not stop and not just in games. Some people could benefit from it in 3ds max etc.
