@jtrory To be fair Deus Ex: Invisible War was pretty much snubbed out and dwarfed by Human Revolution. It may not have been as revolutionary as the original, but it is still a very respectable game for anyone's library. I still to this day vomit a bit in my mouth that Invisible War was ever conceived.

I think the mistakes have been learned when it comes to the Shock franchise, and if SS3 is ever pushed for I whole heartedly admit I will support its development.. until the day it's released and we find out it bombed.. then prepare for Death Incarnate >:(

I wouldn't let this article sway anyone's opinion just yet. For some reason I sniff a business political agenda here, and I highly doubt NVIDIA is coming clean with all the information. Designing a chipset for anything is a major business boost for NVIDIA.. from tablets to PCs NVIDIA is usually always sought after.

With that, they have a reputation to protect. In my view, it looks like NVIDIA tried to capitalize off the PS4 by setting the bar too high... remember Sony is trying to market their product more affordably this time around. This time around I could see NVIDIA asking a price that would push Sony to raise its price on the overall system. Honestly.. I'm glad Sony went to AMD. The Radeon chipsets have always set the standards for 'More bang for your Buck' type ideology so this gives me hope about a cheaper overall price.

@JustinRiden @PDXmauler97 OP I don't think you have anything to worry about. Exclusivity of DLC these days isn't that substantial. In the case of Mortal Kombat you had exclusive character options (i.e. Kratos for PS3)

Bottom line to me it spells fan service to the system owners via bread crumbs. PS4 owners might get Helghast armor as character creation options or something.. which.. would be pretty tight.. >.>

Don't sweat it man.

@179107199999 @aryanbrar I'd also like to daisy chain onto this... let's say the Cloud gaming hype boasts backwards compatibility all the way back to PS1.. let's say you still currently own PS1 games and decide to slide them into your Playstation 4, and that Cloud recognizes you own these titles, and allows you to continually play them through their digital libarary.. sounds pretty convenient right?

It's not unobtainable.. just look at what Cloud based game systems are doing now.. For example I owned a physical copy of Dishonored.. since Steam has rights to this game.. it auto updates and manages this game for me rendering the physical copy totally useless.. THAT technology is there and available.. then people complain.. uh.. that's not an old game dood! No kidding.. I still play Twisted Metal 2 on PSN.. I Still play Mortal Kombat 2 on PSN..

@179107199999 @aryanbrar I'm not sure the speculation fits as to actually streaming a live game online. The new popular type of format for our games is having a client to manage them. For example Steam allows you to download the game onto your hard drive while negating the physical copy all together.

In terms of purchasing and organization, Cloud gaming is definitely the way to go.. streaming a live game online? I doubt the console next gen is ready for that, nor do I believe the technology is present for consoles to accomplish this. That would take a beefy network card that would significantly amp up the price for the overall system..

Consoles have always geared towards feeding the masses.. Sony's first mistake was making the PS3 unobtainable to the masses, and I think they learned from this. e.g. $600.00 price tag? But again that's just my opinion.

I kind of do too.. popping the gamepad in lieu of the motion tracker?

God knows graphics definitely won't be an issue ._.

Perhaps there is a visual hope yet for PC gamers.. Hell Skyrim proved that battle not only with visuals but the sheer amount of user generated DLC.

Maybe the Alien franchise really is only left to the fans to perfect?

*sighs*

Yea it's cool looking, but the MMO genre is so hard to actually do these days. Elder Scrolls gave us Next Gen single player RPGs to escape from the marketing glop that was MMOs.

Do remember every MMO has a pretty epic announcement trailer, and compare that to the success rate of the actual MMO.

God I hope they do this right and it doesn't flop..

So say we all..
