Would be lucky to be twice as strong at $399 in 2 years and even then games won't look vastly different between platforms much like now. Shit looks good enough now as is and most won't notice many of the added graphical embellishments that stronger hardware would allow. Hopefully the power of next gen is flexed on performance as well rather than just visuals as they impress less and less where as improved performance is always noticeable.

Squadron 42 was C.I.G.s way of telling us they had no idea when S.C. will even remotely be close to ready (i.e. all gameplay systems established and functionally stitched together into a complete seemless package) but that at least some progress is being made to alleviate the concerns of backers by releasing something (even if an fps hybrid is not exactly what i signed up for). The fact that they are struggling with a single player cinematic story-driven game related to S.C. in name only does not bode well for the completion of S.C. proper in even 4 more years lol. Hoping for the best still but not much else.
Consoles are dead.
Wanted the likely better looking One X version but will end up just getting the ps4 version to play with friends. I quite liked the beta enough to forgive the occasionally wonky performance. If i like the final game as much as i hope i do ill double up on PC version whenever that comes out.
My opinion may be quite unpopular in this regard but if it takes like a month or so of grinding to acquire the resources to purchase a plot and an estate vs a single $100 transaction for the same i'd do the latter in a heart beat if i wanted that land and the choice existed. My time is more valuable than a long grind to me, specially time off. Don't care how raw the person that feels like they "earned it the right way" feels about it. And yes, i'm single-handedly killing the industry, you're welcome TC.

It's an old but reliable build, have put off replacing for over 2 years now since it still runs everything quite well and would need a near complete rebuild.
Wonder how a dedicated 4k player compares to the X; have mine hooked up to an X930E and was quite pleased with the few movies (just The Fifth Element actually) i did watch on the X. Don't know if to attribute it to the quality of the master or the quality of the player. That was my first 4k bluray viewing, the rest of my 4k content has been digital and/or streams and the bump in IQ was very apparent, if a dedicated player would improve upon that even further then it would be something i would definitely consider purchasing.
Xbox One X...
"Premium Product"
It is a premium console though. The kind you can play at a 5 star motel after eating some upscale fast food.
Yeah it is a bit of an oxymoron isn't it.
If Microsoft themselves say it's premium then it probably is, don't get it twisted. Now to order that kobe burger with truffle aioli dressing with my premium eat24 app.
I miss eat24 man, currently in canada and we have the ghetto version, JustEat.
Grubhub is actually pretty decent now too, not sure if that is an US only thing though.

Monster Hunter World face-off will be pretty interesting.
