what are your opinions on dead rising? i heard the save system really sucks. is it enough to make u hate the game?pygmahia5
I am about halfway through Dead Rising, and so far I would give it a 9/10. The save system can be really frustrating and you may even have to start your game over again (I have once so far). It's not that bad though since you keep your stats and you know what to do the next time around. Killing zombies with all the different weapons is fun, and I would definitely recommend buying (or at least renting) it since it's pretty cheap now.
I had the same problem too at first. The issue isn't with the MTU settings like it says, but with what kind of signals your router accetps. I jad to enable port forwarding and add the xbox's port number (I found it on the online help file for my router) to enabled profiles or something like that. I'm sorry that I can't remember any specifics; I'll check my settings at home once I get done with work.
I agree that it's my fault for screwing around too much and doing too many scoop missions at once, but I still think the game would benefit from looser time requirements.
That being said, it's still a great game, and I'm having a lot of fun with it.
I don't have a huge issue with the limited saves in games (RE 4 comes to mind), but I think it's problematic in Dead Rising because of the timed nature of the game. Since you only have a certain amount of time to complete missions, you can screw yourself over by creating a save point where you don't have enough time to complete the case files. If that happens you have to start your game over again (it's happened to me once so far). Capcom did relieve this problem by letting you keep your stats, but it's still a frustrating system.
