Go for it, its fun to experience the multi-player from the beginning again, plus you get a cool little symbol! It's either that or work on all the challenges and get golden guns and stuff... which just like achievements are pretty much just stupid e-penis enlargement to me.

[QUOTE="sly_fiz"]

um since when can you improve on perfection?

i say children characters.
more races.
more balanced dificulty.
less framerate issues.
less pointless quests.

but considering bethesda's probably already halfway done, i doubt our opinions count

ianp_91

i know for a fact that they would never put children npc's in this game or any other game like this..gta..fable. because that gives u the option to kill them and that wouldnt go over well in ratings..killing regular people ..but killing children is a different thing

Somebody's never played Fallout! Seriously, in the first Fallout they added children by a patch, which were fully killable but doing so would see a group of bounty hunters come to kill you. They were in Fallout II as well, especially the pickpocket children in the Den, where there was total anarchy. Let me just put it this way, child or not, you steal my stuff and you're going to answer to my 12 gauge. (Only in games of course) People need to lighten up with games. They are a virtual world which at their base level are a way to escape reality and live out any fantasy that we want. In life, I'm an easy going guy who rarely if ever resorts to confrontation to solve a problem, in some RPGs I like to roleplay a guy who would do the exact opposite, but the matter remains that even if I play an evil character in KOTOR who tries to rule the galaxy and punt babies, that doesn't mean that I'll be doing it the next time I step outisde.

^ There's an option when you're buying items on Ebay called "Buy it Now," it works just like any other retail site where once you commit to the purchase and pay through your Paypal account, the transaction is complete. That's the best way to ensure that you win an item, I don't know much about auction tricks and auto-bid programs but somebody else here might. -- Iron Maiden WILL play Alexander the Great live at SBIT '08

I was completely satisfied until my 360 broke about a week ago. Just have to send it in for repairs but I won't get it back until after Christmas :(

Hey everybody, sorry for this incredibly long post, but I just wanted to come and ask for some opinions seeing as how I've reached a bit of an impasse and I needed some suggestions. I'm a Sophomore in college and the only way I can even think to describe what I'm going through right now is a bit of an identity crisis. I'm doing well in my secondary education program and on my school swim team and in my circle of friends I've been known as THE authority on video games. I play all the latest games and can always offer advice on anything relating to the subject. I also spend a great deal of time and money to fuel my hobby (I play games mainly on my 360...) The problem itself came a few days ago with a problem I never expected would happen. Moving from Guitar Hero III to the Orange Box on Saturday morning is what finally did my Xbox in. I was shocked to see the RRoD because my 360 had survived for so long and had absolutely no problems up to this point. For the rest of the day, I kind of had a little bit of a realization... maybe this was a sign that it was time to kind of give up on my more hardcore gaming tendencies and start to focus on what I really need to worry about now (school, swimming, girlfriend, teacher certification etc.) Seeing as how I've been playing games since the age of 4, with fond memories of games like Doom, Quake, Commander Keen, Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure, Stellar 7, Mechwarrior and so many others floating in my head... I decided that I can't just turn my back on games entirely, so I came to a conclusion. As soon as it gets repaired, I'm going to start selling off all of my 360 hardware and games in order to pay for my college expenses and such, and return to retro PC gaming in order to fuffill my need to game. I'm off to a good start, as I already have plenty of games like Starcraft, Warcraft III, Diablo and Diablo II, my Doom collection and almost every Half-Life game under the sun on my Steam account to fall back on. So what I'm curious about is whether you guys have anymore suggestions for retro or classic PC games that I could start to play? I'm actually downloading Deus Ex and Rise of Nations Gold right now, but I just want to build a decent collection of PC games to hit up occasionally if I feel like playing. I also want to relive the old days of gaming with my Dad on our old Pentium Overdrive PC (From AST Labs to boot, cause you know they're alive and kicking...) Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for any suggestions. PS my computer is a really crappy Toshiba laptop with only 512 MB of RAM and an onboard integrated graphics chipset which caps at 128 MB. Just keep that in mind.

Usually stores want a state ID card or a driver's license for buying M rated games. I'm not sure about a student card but if it has your birth date on it they might let it slide. I'd stick with some form of a state ID card though.

All you have to do is have power established to the router and plug in all of the ethernet cords. I there are multiple settings on the router itself, make sure it is not set to uplink, and then just start the game and go into system link and you should be good to go.

Congrats on the new PS2. I own a 360 but I just bought a PS2 at Gamestop yesterday to play some of the great games I've missed on the system. If you want my top pick, buy the game that a buddy showed me that finally convinced me to pick up the system yesterday... MGS3 (preferably Subsistence if you can find a copy) If you want a challenging and rewarding game it's the way to go. I'm gonna go out later this week and get some more games Like God of War and Resident Evil 4 once I get paid.

One reason that Miscrosoft won't self-finance the movie is because it's considered common knowledge in Hollywood that even if you have a sure-fire movie idea that you're sure will succeed it's still a gamble that may fail utterly. Case in point was George Lucas personally financing The Empire Strikes Back out of his own pocket, which many insiders in Hollywood thought would spell disaster.
