Ok so here's my take on the whole thing and it's probably going to upset a few people. Yes from within the home beta it says Open Beta July 2007. So let's look back at what happened in July. A bunch of my friends who were not originally in the beta received emails and the beta in their store. So when you think about it, they did open the beta up to many more people. I personally feel what they meant by open beta was opener beta where they let more people in.

Point being, don't hold your breath for august either. What's the point of having a everyone come on in beta and not calling it a full release anyway?

could be. they could just do a running Beta and just open it up to more people. I think alot of people are thinking that Sony is going to close the Beta, then open it again.

oh and to anybody who thinks that EVERYBODY is getting in, please run home to mommy. remember, the OPEN BETA is still capped at 50,000 users.

I love my PS3, but God do I miss my Xbox 360...I genuinely HATE the hardware because it is so poorly designed that it sucks so bad. I have no idea how people tolerate 2 or 3 consoles breaking down. That is absolutely unacceptable to me so I sold it. But then when I see games like Bioshock and Mass Effect coming out for 360, I really wish I hadn't sold the damn thing. I would've totally had the best of both worlds...

should have kept it. I kept mine....but then again, I haven't had any problems with my 360 breaking down....but then again, I haven't even turned it on since I got my PS3.

Its too bad, I mean the recommended PC specs are pretty high. Not everyone will get to play the game, only 360 owners and people willing to spend alot on their pc.kevy619

but the pictures aren't taken at the same time. the first picture has Snake by a window with the sun coming in. the second picture has Snake away from the window where the room is dark.

I don't know if you noticed but when Kojima demonstrated the gameplay footage and a cutscene kicked in, I noticed that THIS was a similar scene to the one shown at TGS 05 when snake first meet "Metal Gear MK II" and otacon. except, in the TGS trailer otacon and snake were talking about the PS3's specs.

correct. I was waiting for the "cell" part of the dialogue to start when I was watching the gameplay demo.

"secret" = rumor. no in-game screenshots showing PS3 buttons, and the developer stating that it was exclusive to the 360...that's enough evidence for me.

how do you compare a flight/combat game to a FPS?

i remember seeing it on Game Informer as both 360 and PS3. what probably happened was that the 360 was the lead SKU for the development, but 2k Games announced it for both systems. but then MS went on and got the game to be exclusive.c0mplex
