Don't have a next gen console but I did just get a 3080 ti. Guess that makes me the graphics power equivalent of a 1%er. Yes, I did pay a kidney for it.
Wouldn't surprise me if there were more connections to RE4. The aesthetic is so similar - it was the first thing I thought of when I saw the trailer for the first time.
Maybe they will focus on the horror elements this time around instead of trying to be an action-horror game. Homecoming was just awful. The combat mechanics weren't that great and it felt like the focus which detracted from everything that always made SH a compelling title.
We shall see...I'm still bitter about Silent Hills.
The demo was great. I really like the explorative element and how detailed the environment is. I really liked the castle part of RE4 and this sort of reminds me of that.
@ohmya337: yes. But if a game mechanic was broken, it was set in stone. I honestly prefer today even though it has resulted in lazy initial releases being the norm.
@attirex: I played for the first time a few months back after watching that Internet Historian video. There is a lot to do and I can easily waste a lot of time in this game. I guess my biggest complaint is beyond all the grinding and such there is no lofty single player goal other than exploration. I was more interested in empire building so I got into X4 Foundations. I still play No Man's Sky as a relaxing and immersive grind. I don't regret the purchase one bit.
