Except the PS3 didn't have to compete with two brand new, state of the art powerhouse consoles built specifically for next gen gaming and multimedia - that's the difference I'm afraid - make no mistake, WiiU isn't gonna turn their fortunes around with these two behemoths around the corner.
I've had RROD twice and my son has had 3 on his machine - we consider ourselves very unlucky but I've heard similar instances with friends who own 360's.
Even though the machine has given me great entertainment over the years, I can say with absolute certainty that I won't be purchasing any hardware from Microsoft ever again.
Unfortunately, I won't remember the great games I've played with the machine, only what a noisy, shoddy piece of tech it ended up being for me.
I honestly don't know who to shout at the most - developers for dropping this pos idea onto the gaming public at large in the first place, or the people who actually go ahead and get sucker-punched into purchasing it.
