Publicity wise, it hasn't been a good year for EA and recently, they've been labeled the worst company to work for in a recent report - that's pretty damning for a company that size but not surprising.
They seem to be giving games development a really bad name.
I watched a small documentary some time back with some top development guys in the board room arguing about something or another and I couldn't believe how volotile and aggressive the conversation was - I actually thought the guys were gonna come to blows but it was seriously bad - a real eye opener and I'd never want to work for a company that hired thug like bosses - because honestly, that's how they were behaving.
Yes, it is remarkable how well the PS2 is selling - it's insane.
PS3 has found it's legs now and they're shifting units off the shelves at a decent rate.
I think the Vita was a good move as well actually, no one else is going to go head to head with Sony on that front other than Nintendo and even though I keep hearing that mobile phones will equal the Vita in power, I've yet to see a phone that comes close to what the Vita can push around and feel right when playing the game- you try and fit the Vita into a mobile phone and it would cost an absolute fortune as well as a billion compromises on power, features and quality.
I doubt Nintendo will invest in the handheld market again - Vita has the better specs and when the unit comes down in price and the memory cards are slashed, that thing will explode, I guarantee that.
It was a really tough period to launch the Vita, massive world economic crisis and all the disasters that were happening in Japan, earthquakes, tsunamis etc around the same time, it's a small miracle Sony actually got this out there tbh.
When you take all that into account, those sales figures don't look too bad.
But yeah, it looks to be selling slowly but surely and the software lineup even I have to admit trounces what I have available for my 3DS, so big props to Sony there as well.
I've stopped using Facebook because I was fed up of reading about what people were having for breakfast and asking people what colour they should paint and old wooden chair dumped in their garage for 10 years + - silly crap like that.
One day I just said "You know what? - I can't be doing with this anymore"
I fail to understand the appeal of twitter and the people who follow someone else's life - I just don't get it at all.
But in any case, this is a classic case of live by the sword - die by the sword.
Pretty sure these rumours have a kernel of truth to them initially.
Throw the idea out there for the hell of it and let the info propagate out and get some indirect feedback about the idea without any official source - it's a great idea because the companies can do a massive U-Turn and say it was all rubbish right from the start.
