Actually haven't play ng since snes, but I'll probably check it out and I've been working on getting a ps3 cheap to try out mgs4. Problem is for me mgs4 is stricly a game with cool gameplay and bosses. I find teh storyline retarded, to put it lightly.

Ok so I have some good news for all fallout fans. Fallout 3 is on the way. No I don't mean the bethesda one. I'm talking about wasteland 2.
So Brian Fargo (brilliant mind behind Wasteland, Fallout, and Fallout 2) started up a team of game developers. They worked on some small stuff, but they yet to actually release anything (they've beenw orking for like 6 years). Their first game to release will be Hei$t (should be in June) and they have the console rights for linerunner.
Now the rights for fallout are damn expensive, but anyone who does a little research will tell you that fallout was considered by interplay to be a spiritual sequel to a game called wasteland. Wasteland was on the ibm, commodore 64, and mac and was released in 88.
Here's the best part. Brian Fargo's team inXile (apparently he named it after how he felt developers treated him or some such thing) bought the rights to wasteland in 2003. This means that if it all works out for inXile they will be releasing what I would call a spiritual successor to fallout 2 in the next five years.
Don't get me wrong fallout 3 looks good, but....I think most hardcore fallout fans will agree that it's not an easy array of themes to recreate.
Anyone who feels a void inside themselves when they're waiting for a game has a serious problem. My advice to you avidgamer is to never take up drinking.
I'm reading here that hes avoiding a heavy workload by developing ps3 first. That doesn't mean he prefers working with the ps3.
I would say the main point is this simple. Charging people is fine, but you should get dedicated servers. It's rediculous to assume that ms has not looked into solving any of its issues. The one thing that keeps me coming back to live is that ms is obviously involved in supporting and improving the experience.
So, it's valid to criticize live. But most of us are still gonna use it.
