it is no fact lcd is better than crt other than desk space or less energy period-- folks keep on saying lcd is better- as like you- its new tech-- well just because you keep on saying new is better and attacking me- dont make your lcd better- and im for sure not going to run out and buy 1 just because you can try and push your junk down my throat.. bottom line is. you have less options with your lcd period- and better picture is arguable-- and you can have the said best lcd on earth- and not tweak it right and look like crap- and oh ya- 1 more thing- for best desk top you need a slow lcd- for gaming 2ms or so so no ghosting-

see ghosting is another thing crt does not have to worry about.. but- im sure you can prove what i say wrong- or at least try and talk me to death and try and change my mind.. so.

i have not yet installed w7 for a few reasons-

1 im waiting for some more updates maybe a service pack- unless service pack makes it worst- like sp3 pretty much tried to mess up xp- i read it was killing folks opt drives so i never stepped up from sp2.. and read of other sp3 bugs too..

2 ive been playing some of my older games and recording like painkiller- im not sure they will run on w7- and well- i said all i do is game and make in game videos and post them on youtube. i have many video play throughs- not really a walk through. for games like stalker fc mohaa bioshock and others. i have some 2,319 videos on youtube. if w7 cant play my games any 1 game i might want to play- well w7 is junk to me..

3 i will be 2 days testing memory trying to get my new 4gig kit. OCZ2N800SRC44GK to work with my 2 gig kit in my sig- and hope to run 6 gigs total.. so. i have not really felt like it- and then have to install set up update secure and learn w7- and then it not play some of my games-- well. im not so excited or in a hurry.. that is my right.. so.

as a fact crt and lcd is near the same- same quality picture and color saturation's etc.. in fact most lcd's you cant even get all of the tweaks out of them unless you run them in vga mode i think it is.. and again- you are stuck with its native res.. lcd's make better tv's versus a monitor- other than less desk space and energy.. and oh ya- i can run my res way more high than 1600x1200 just not at 85 hrz.

so. your said better more high lcd res is a myth and lie too.. but generally for the size the lcd does have more high res [fixed]- and lcd has more screen space than a crt. not sure i can do true hd or blue ray what ever it is with this crt monitor- but im in no hurry to buy blue ray either so.again the led backlight lcd's are a step up.. better than crt and lcd in the same boat- no matter your opinion.. but again the led back lights are new first gen.. so prices are high for now- until more brands etc come out and well. the next gen should be better too-

i have w7- and plan to install it when i feel like it. that dont change the fact- i read tons of info and problems or see videos or areo or task bar what ever. and have to lean it and where everything is. and about game problems too.. as on the last page- the guy said q4 dont work with it-- well q4 is 1 of the games i plan to record soon- and well- i might as well install it and do it now on this xp system- being the all great new tech and powerful w7 cant run the game.. but oh ya.. new tech is better-- im laughing so hard im about to pee on my self. its a hoot..

and yes i made a mistake. my logitech speakers are 5300e thx and by the way my audigy2 is thx capable and the reason i bought the thx speakers- and well- creative turned into a crap company and most every 1 i know boycott them and will never buy from them again period..

as for w7 or lcd's being better- that is only your opinion period- just you trash xp or crt's long enough its like urban myth thought as true- like global warming and other stupid lies. just to push sales and hype or to flame folks. again to ridicule and push hype and sales.. repeat lies over and over again- after a while people dont know truth facts or lies.. the greatest benefit with lcd's are desk space and less energy period.. now led back light is a step up.. but only a few out and are first gen.

i got my w7 hp upgrade 10-23-09 and a 4 gig mem kit a few weeks before then to try and run 6 gigs mem total.. if i install w7 on this sigsystem- i plan to run w7 64 bit. i read a lot about w7 and still have not installed it yet.. i read w7 is still a bit buggy.. and i read many games have probswith it. and then all i read about installing or playing games- some in admin some in compatibility mode- and the fact you need 50 gigs of memory to run it and then all the complicated crap to the browser and areo or what ever.. i still use xp pro sp2 and ie6- i like things simple and easy- and with great security and maintenance my pc runs like a top and plays all my games well..

and for the record- i can care less about dx11- dx10 has been out now for what 2 years and its maybe 4 game titles for it- and will be maybe 4 more for dx11- and well- regardless what hype folks try and push- you will not see much differences from dx10 or 11 as you see lil differences between dx9 and 10- and games with said dx11 will work in dx10- as will dx10 games work in dx9- then take into account all the short or buggy pc games- why waste money spend extra money on high end pc's or components like vid cards etc-and the fact ms and ea and others are trying to kill pc games altogether and just want to sell xbox and games for them-

pc gamers push the pc industry for better faster- then we get spit in the face with poor buggy or short games.. you dont need the most powerful systems on earth for normal desk top or office use or surfing porn or converting videos-- you do need the most powerful on earth to game-- and we are treated like dirt.. dontlet hype and folks with no real idea what they are talking about fool ya- or push ya to buy crap and hype that will never work right or half the stuff never used and poor games along with it-- to upgrade just for dx11 is kind of stupid- other than being able to say you have it if ever needed-- common sense stuff- and again.. just look around- you have what 4 dx10 titles- maybe a few more and of them- are they games you like or play or type genre you like?

i will get to installing w7 when or if i feel like it or if xp has no more support- im very glad i skipped the vista rip off- ha ha even ms business would not use it and vista is ms.. vista and w7 seem over complicated to me and you have to have tons of memory and then it only half works right.. i will hold onto my xp and ie6 as long as i can.. play my games make my videos and love my old crt monitor too. i can lower res on my crt and do not need a super computer to push the high native res of lcd's. ha ha and then the lcd guys complain he cant max out his game quality- well- no1 made you buy a lcd with 1920 by god what ever high res- which is perfect for viewing video or glorified surfing- but not best for high resource pc games.. i fear the day i have to down grade to a lcd when my crt dies..so.

what ever- but i will keep a xp system as my back up- or well main system- im not sure if i want to put w7 on this rig in my sig because of better vid card and dual core cpu- or put w7 on my back up system my abit kn8 4000+ and bfg 7800 gtoc- i need at least 1 system that works perfect and well that is not a vista or w7 system- i might put w7 on my back up rig- this system runs all my games prefect and i can record my games with ease.. also i have a plextor px tv402u [ the plex only likes single core cpu's] and audigy2 zs platinum pro im sure would not like vista or w7. oh ya- add my logitech 5300e thx speakers [ that only sound good with a thx sound card for the most part]- thats what $700 bucks of hardware id have to just trash if only to run vista or w7. heck my logitech orbit cam might not work with vista or w7 either- its just stupid.. well creative is crap anymore anyway. they all but ruined my audigy with its drivers or package updates- broken or extra gui's what ever- they did it on purpose so you might buy their more new stuff audigy4 or ex stuff what ever it was- trying to install or update my audigy these days is a nightmare. and the new package dont delete out the old gui's and half the sound fx stuff dont work with new updates- i will never buy creative again period. when new and early updates- all worked perfect and package and updates or gui's all was as should be-- they tried to ruin it on purpose- but i got it working well enough for normal use and gaming- but click on wrong or old gui that did not delete its self out- system hard lock and reset button and reboot- and i have to install all of the package on the disc or no updates that follow will work right or even install etc.. so. i guess id have to install w7 on my sig system and pretty mush gimp it.. have many problems and head akes trying to learn w7.. but can run all my hardware on my back up system and xp pro and single core cpu..

its freaken crazy- i will never buy creative again.. im disabled and poor- i save and buy the best and for the money i have and best warranties- i dont have money to waste on hype junk or the next new thing next week- so. compatibility and legacy support is more what i need- tho i have no games or soft / hardware's that are older than 98- 2000- xp- i think some of my games are old 98 and for sure dx8- but xp plays them fine- or its easy enough to give them 98 credentials.. 1x i think i had to give a game 98 credentials- i cant remember what game that is now.. i never much play my real old games any way. and i only like fps or combo fps - rpg. all i do is game 17 hours a day and make movies or game animated gif's365 days a year- so gaming is all i really care about. not office or surfing social or multi tasking.. i play my games and edit or convert as needed- can record tv or convert vcr tapes etc- can plug in guitars what ever if i feel like it.. i can lower my res- max out game and recording qualities and pretty high aa or af and be happy.. i can up res if just playing.. but i hate changing it all the time for gaming or desk top- my old eyes like 1024x768 to read text etc. so i play and record my games at that res. i can run most all my games max out quality and play at 1600x1200 @85hrz.. some games i might have to tweak some graphics settings- shadows or aa af etc. [stalker or bioshock ffow ut3] but mostly if recording and for performance or video quality.. my system can not push 1650x1050 and record too.. i would not buy less than 22'' 1650x lcd- tho id prefer none wide 20'' 1280x1024 my self. but again the res is a lil high for recording and no lag or blocking what ever and high qualities to boot.. i cant afford a new i7 system and nv 275 vid card or a 22'' led backlight lcd either.. so.

yep- vista and w7 and layout and browsers task bar etc. are over complicated and cluttered and crazy game support- people today think or call them selves so smart- or them making this new stuff any way- yet the lack common sense.. the rule of life is-- ""keep it simple -stupid..""

and 1 more thing ut3 is 1 of the most god ugly games- it might as well be only black and white- all the color it does have is black and multi shades of grey and rock with a few colors splashed in- the skins are butt ugly too. tho ya vehicles and water fx are cool- lets not talk about over size gawky players and poor movement or silly looking guns and the fact they messed up the flack cannon and you pretty much have to aim at the belt to hit them in the head and is worst on some maps. and it has only few mod skins and maps too or maps worth a crap-but ut04 is 10x the game ut3 is-
