@last_lap: I haven't changed shit. I can tell you these games fail before they do... just about anyone can. It's not my fault you want to play dumb.

Intergalactic and Assassin's Creed shadows are up next.

Well, this account has been here 5mins (the person behind it has been here a LOT longer) Up next will be you woke folks complaining about a game you were never gonna buy in the first place, now that's a guarantee.

I generally only complain about games that I WOULD have been interested in.

It's funny how certain games with gay characters get a free pass (Last of Us, Baldurs Gate 3 etc) and yet others get shat on by the woke folks.

Can you guys/girls pick a damn lane and stick within it. You make hypocrites of yourselves all the time.

Dragon Age failed, and they say well we all know why, Baldurs Gate 3 wins GOTY and not a peep from the woke folks, heck you can even do some beastilality, but not a peep ftom the woke folks lol.

For the record I didn't buy nor am I defending any of these games, just wish the woke folks would be consistent in their argument.

How do they get a free pass? "The last of us" as successful as it was sold about half of what the original one did despite sequels on the PS4 routinely outselling their predecessors. In other words they lost about half their audience.

Last of Us 2 outsold Last of Us 1 on PS3.

Last of US sales surpass 7 million

Last of US 2 sales surpass 10 million

And rigthfully so, it is actually a better GAME. That's the only thing I care about.

Yet it sold less then half of the PS4 remaster which is now at 30 million. It will never come close to that... gee I wonder why? 🤔

Outselling the PS3 version isn't impressive considering the PS4 sold 40 million more consoles and had a much higher attach rate.

No, they literally can't. That would mean death.

They just move on to the next trending outrage and farm it and move on to the next.

They can't even be bothered to return to old points and defend failures (i.e. The Last Descendent losing 90+% of it's playerbase; hot babes couldn't save that game I guess...).

I don't think " hot babes" guarantee success however I do think ugly ones will guarantee failure.

Well, no. That's a contradiction. You can't say that genre, gameplay, story, etc., don't matter, while then saying it matters. If a game can have the best gameplay, story, etc., but fail because the character(s) is/are ugly, then that implies that beauty sells the game.

When did I say genre , gameplay and story didn't matter? Having appealing characters is the bare minimum. You can do all those things well and if you have unappealing characters it's unlikely the game will do well.

Think of it as a new vehicle. If you're shopping for a new SUV and you find one that drives well , is safe, reliable and gets good gas mileage but it's ugly as shit are you going to buy it? Or are you going to wait for one that has all those things and also looks great? You are essentially saying character design is irrelevant and that is absolute nonsense.

Then explain Minecraft, Roblox, Don't Starve, Tetris, Kirby, etc.

Genre matters.

Narrative driven action games, hero shooters , fighting games..etc. character designs matter.

A vehicle is a public facing purchase. A video game isn't.

So you think characters design is largely irrelevant?

I think what separates BG3 is it allows you to play the game however you want and pulls no punches for anyone. Compare that to Veilguard which forced you to deal with a certain character and gave you no other alternative other then to support her.

Are you trying to claim that the side-quests in Veilguard for companions are mandatory?🤔

I'm saying every interaction with her requires you to be nice to her even outside of the side quest. Your only way to avoid it is essentially to never use her.

Also are you making the argument that if I don't like certain side quest I should just skip it? How about no? How about they make side quest that actually make you want to play them? Recomending you skip side quest In the game you just bought is asinine. Optional quest should make the game better and enhance the game not make it worse.

@last_lap: I remember complaining about the bestiality in a thread and most people told me it wasn't a bit deal.(Most people saw it as a joke, I thought it was creepy)

To be honest, I am also curious about the double standards. My guess is that the writing quality is just better in larian.

@elderlord99: Ugly ones like in the Last of Us 2, unless you think Abby is a looker lol.

Abby was voted top 3 most hated Playstation characters. Matter of fact when the game originally released they hid she even existed. The launch trailer was doctored to make people think Joel was in the game more then he was. So I don't think that helps your argument. They basically straight up lied to the consumers to get you to play her.

Veilguard was a direct sequel to the most successful DA of all time and is now one of the biggest flops of the year.

You can tell when something feels forced and when it does it usually fails.
