gamers have been complaining like crazy about EA, Bioware, and many others plenty the last few years. has it stopped any of them from selling multi-millions of their products one after another? not one bit. think I/we have just been getting our hopes up too high for the sequels and need to just realize the majority of the time sequels suck. just enjoy the ones that do grow better as their stories progress.
it always kinda seemed in most games the cutscenes and sequences were rewarded to you for being able to complete the battles. still no reason to talk bad to her, just boycott her crap and tell Bioware why you're boycotting
OSJ-1987, my Saitek PC gamepad runs better than PS3 or 360's do and I use it for a few of my PC games. That, along with better processing, graphics, sound, and other tasking abilities I'd say the PC has proven the console is past it's time. If these companies/platforms didn't have all these exclusive publishing rights the gaming world would be much better off having everything on the PC. grim0187, check a game such as Crysis 2 with Hi-Res Textures & DX11 on @1080p on a big HD screen VS. a 360 version running on the same screen. Is a drastic difference.
went back and played the Enhanced Edition/Director's Cut again a few weeks before Assassins of Kings came out and I was very surprised. I didn't remember it looking as great, probly because I was running a slow dual-core then with a not even half as powerful GPU. also didn't remember it being one of the coolest PC RPGs I'd ever played but it definitely is. part 1 is d*mn sure as good or better than most of the recent stuff. Witcher 2 is awesome all the way around, the only sequel I've seen in a while that stands up......stands up and kicks the crap out of the latest sequels we've seen.
definitely looks good and has fun battles but the rumors are true: not as good as the original. the camera angles and maps killed me more than the enemies did. the view doesn't pan out far enough to control the battles and when it is panned out all the way it gets obstructed by scenery and you can't point and click correctly. also can't customize your party members attack preferences as well as in the original. most of the time it's not like controlling a gang of heroes. it's like having 4 separate heroes so you have to pause over and over to get the tactics you want separately for each hero for each move. i still am very much enjoying the game but at the same time am very disappointed that it doesn't work as well as the OG. don't like all the fa g situations and offerings either. why can't you kill the tra nsvestite prostitute when it takes you up to it's room? damn sure what i would've done. i will be a dy ke mage next play thru though.
Radeon 4890 1gb, Phenom II 955 @3.6ghz, DDR2 4gb. All settings maxed out @ 1920x1080 everything runs good most of the time, still random stuttering. 1440x900 everything runs great most of the time, still with random stuttering. I believe its just this game engine that makes it run bad some of the time, not our hardware. Doesn't look all that great no matter what settings I put it at. They're lucky it's still pretty fun to play so far.
