Metal gear 4 is the reasons im going to buy back my ps3 (orig. was defect) along with your titles, psyum got good taste, just want to see more ps3 titles. Dont hate the x360, its what the ps3 will be in time
"True Gamers" A true gamer plays all games. You really need to stop whining. Even if Nintendo wins that doesn't mean MS and Sony are going anywhere. N64 and Gamecube weren't market leaders and Nintendo is still here. So if Nintendo won why would it change anything? I would love to agree with that but keep something in mind thats its a media war, blu ray and HD. I'm not saying that the 3 will be out, im saying that if nintendo wins, the quality in games itself will drop because Nintendo will set the pace for the industry. Think of how the PS1 changed the market, only now the opposite.Just so we are clear, I dont hate nintendo, I just dont think the wii is a good machine and its lackluster quality's are being over looked by pretty controller

Your right but i think its more of an impulse item. It a vacuum of sales, and its going to drive out the competitors. I dont wanna see a market where nintendo sets the pace

First off all, i wanna be the first one to say that the wii will kill gaming as it stands and will not allow for further development or "evolution" of gaming. I work at a game store and i am so tired of parents coming in asking "you got a wii" well first of their isn't enough out there to meet demand, so what does that mean gentleman: that the much needed and reallied tween market is all hogged by Nintendo. Now what happens here is that games such as painkiller or bullitwitch get no revenue. So this lack in sales put studios in a position where they have to decide weather the develop for the wii at lets say 500K or make a next gen game that costs 1.5m. Now lets say lets say the profit turn around for the wii game is 60. Good business eh. So what about next gen game??? well they lost money in cause no one bought it, cause the wii game came out cheaper and had no one looking forward to it. Sounds like the wii is the way to go right cheaper priced games and cheaper priced console. Big problem with that, if the only machine that makes money is a machine that has games that look like flash animation (ie wario ware) or they look like they could have been on a psx or n64 (red steel) it leaves very little room for growth. Yes people that 800mhz processor does have its limit and when it caps out visually stunning games like GOW will be lost forever. Also you can argue the wii has great game play, ok lets look at that, open door shake controller , reload shake controller, use scalpel move controller,(I could do that with a mouse or stylus) If user interaction means great game play is say this "virtual boy" and we all know how that ended. I will say one more thing the wii is the backwards console. What do I mean, well I ll go by example. The Gamecube (which I love and beat zelda TP on) had its handheld the GBA. Games that came for GC had a version on the Gba. Now we have the Ds in which games for that come on the wii. On any regular system, its meant to be enjoyed one player where you could ALONE play for hours on end, ie ps3 or x360, heck even GC. With the wii you could only really enjoy it truly with friends, otherwise after an hour of listening to those dam raving rabbits alone you wanna shoot someone. not to mention your hand gets tired. If i wanna shake my nunchuk for an extended amount of time ill just well...you know. This way I wont have to spend 20 bucks an add on for a controller. Gimme a break an add on, thats wii-tarded. Another thing wheres the Ethernet port? Their online service aside from world news is a joke and even that, what tween or even teen cares about whats going on in Guam. I do but than again if i wanna know that I learned how to read or go to cnn.com. The standard for online now is the xbox live service. Its better, easier and more enjoyable than that joke of a server nintendo has (which i have come to the conclusion is Miyamoto's old P2 laptop) I dont have any bias towards any system, I own a wii , x360 and ps3, (I get them cheap like 200 bucks off cheap) and my fav is x360. It is the example of everything we ever wanted to do as a kid in gameing. The ps3 is ahead of its time and we'll only truly see its potential in years to come. One last thing, if you say that the wii brings in new people to gaming i say this" they were not interested in gaming before and soon enough they again will not be interested in gaming" The system is a tribute to our childhood memories and as far as the kids playing it now, their going to get used this level of "game play" Im 24 and I am not that big of a gamer, and i know we will be disappointed.
When the wii came out, i got it first day, and than traded it in 3 hours later when I realized how bad the machine is. I got 400 bucks for the thing from crazed soccer mom. Reason I am posting this is I want someone to tell me whats so great about the machine, and please don't say controller or "innovative" game play. Its not that I am not open to new ideas I just wanna know what is it that it makes people fall in with the wii. One last thing, the virtual console is something ridiculous, come on people emulator's, we were using them before the wii came out, why are we going to pay for them (the games) now.
