And do you like it and which do you have? I have a 19" widescreen now and I'm thinking of just making the jump to a 24 or 30". It'll probably be running it with an hd3870.

I run the same system basically except a 4200+, same card though and I run crysis at 1400/900 at medium w/no AA and it plays fine. I never recorded the FPS but it's in the 30's or so. Mine is a 4200 X2. You must be running some programs or something.

I don't see why not. Worst case scenario you turn off the sli mode in the nvidia control panel.

I ran the same card with basically the same computer but I had a 300w psu and had no problems at all. I say do it and start to save $$ for a new psu.

I upgraded from the 300w to a 550w from overstock and noticed no difference in performance. If you look around you can find coupons for free shipping.

Thanks guys, I was just wondering if, after ten years, there was any reason to ditch this ol thing. Seems like it's the only part of the PC gaming world that doesn't need to upgrade every 3-4 years.. lol.

I've been using a logitech trackman wheel for almost 10 years now, yes the same one. I've been gaming alot recently and even though this one still works perfect. I'm wondering if there is something better out there for gaming? What do you use?

Set up is athlon 64 x2 +4200, 2g, 8600 gt xxx, and 300w ps. It was running fine, some games on max settings but overstock had a 550w ps for only $26 so I got it because I plan to upgrade. Will I notice any difference while gaming? thanks.
