@pcps4xb: My review of the game is based on the first 6 hours of gameplay I admit. I tried it at home, with my system and then deleted because I didn’t want to play through it with my means of acquiring it. I saw that it was a well thought out game, and I hope to try it at a later time after a purchase.
@bloodbornelore: As good as Demon Souls? No, and I would not compare the two either as they both have different focus. Also what exactly is better than Demon Souls? lol hardly anything. Putting all that aside though, Medium is not “mediocre”. It’s actually great in what it’s trying to execute and has its share of surprises. The camera work, art and atmosphere is actually exceptional. I would try the game again at your earliest convenience.
I am btw a PC and PS5 gamer. I also want that new Switch Pro. I know that’s coming very soon.
@bloodbornelore: Medium is actually a good game lmao. I tried it on PC 4K. It reminds me of Classic RE without the combat. It’s a very interesting game. Put the console war aside and it’s a nice title itself.
@rodoxthedark: Are you sure about that? Demon Souls looks fantastic. I spend hours looking at pictures and thousands of dollars on equipment just to experience the highest fidelity and accuracy.
As for Returnal, it may look “slightly” next gen. But it’s anything but slightly next gen. I don’t recommend you pass on it. Apart from surely being a great game, it’s also a fantastic techndemo.
@hardwenzen: Is it missing though? Or are you just assuming it’s missing? Did you know the PlayStation 5 can compress and decompress gigabytes of data at the turn of a screen? Did you also know memory bandwidth of that sort equates greater graphical fidelity?
The PlayStation 5 has the benefit of having its CPU in close communication with both its GPU and SSD to fetch data when needed ; decompressed or otherwise can be had at a moments notice. This tech will show in the games. It’s already showing.
@hardwenzen: The resolution, the lighting and shadow details, particle effects and texture is very good quality. Not to mention the FPS and supported RT.
