Ever notice all of a sudden many have cared of a SF fighting game without Storymode. Which is essential arcade mode or storymode? No one did get really get bother of an SF4 without storymode? The truth is many is being confused of SF arcade mode to be storymode because many are mislead. The console arcade mode has been watered down from terms because some apologist that compromised with the failure of content design in SFV. They may win by persisting and insisting arguments but not the heart of the consumers. Capcom should not think to design a game that is about casual because that is an FGC term within the community but rather about consumers that are fighting games enthusiast not role playing game consumers that expect to see content and mode like what they have from past fighting games develop by their company not by other companies with different genre of games. Outside FGC influence isn't just adopt, compromised and accept that is reality. They need something more than just being addictive but worth their money. Mobile app, moba and morpg strategy is okay for DLC stuff as a design but bad for designing a "mode" for a fighting game the same with what SFxTekken did but instead in game mechanics that it send the game to its oblivion. SFV for some of I know feels obligated to be online rather than having the feel of playing street fighter to be entertained and enjoy like the past years like how some feel when they first grab a copy of SF4.

SFV failed not because of the lack of storymode but the lack of arcade mode the first console main SF game without an independent standalone offline mode with good replay value, not very long matches, isn't redundant and gimmick less. In time after numerous playing CGI cut-scenes would be skipped for matches like game intro after more of a dozen seeing it, What it needs is the typical arcade mode in USF4 and SF3TS because it is essential expectation for the last decades outside the FGC, SfV's in game modes is like a mobile freemium game lack of offline independent mode that only aims to give rewards and aims to be addictive. Capcom has been dependent on the title's popularity and hype alone, SFV has too many damage control apologist lately for their lacking, To be fair the game had good gameplay design, good set of characters and art direction but failed in implementation look at the clippings and one stage interaction that build many expectation in the game pre-development but end up to be only in one stage, The game was 1st previewed to be promising from stage design. They need to save and fix SFV rather than letting it die and overshadowed by a new SF game. In time if SFV failed to fill in the traditional content and expectation of consumer towards a fighting game outside FGC thought for the last decade then USF4 will be the ST of this decade
