Don't get PES 2008. If you want to play it online, don't buy it. Fifa sucks but at least it has players online. PES is good only for graphics, the gameplay is not that good and overall it is trash, if you manage to get it running you have to be happy for only that reason :). When I look at the problems of that game I get sick, ,don't run it on 4Gb Ram, don't run it on a quad core, don't play it on Nvidia 8800 (fixed with a patch, or is it?), don't run it on Vista (works most of the time). I'm glad I sold it and bought ice cream ;).

I tried to play it on Vista with a quad core, with 4GB Ram, with the 8800 fix and I couldn't play the game on max settings, because funny, my pc wasn't good enough, I had to play it with everything on low at 800x640, but let's say that it doesn't matter. I got online, 6 players....ok.....I will play anyway....:| huge lag.....maybe Vista is to blame.....ok, I will boot on XP and install it again.......That's more like it :) the game doesn't even run on XP all I get is a freeze at the intro. Wow this game is awesome, now all I have to do is find a sucker/friend to sell it to:). (wich I did).

From all of that experience I have to say that:

-as usual Konamy doesn't do PC games, only console transformations on PC for some extra cash

-the game sucks even more than FIFA

-nobody buys this crap

-FIFA has more players

-my pc is too crappy to play it

Yeah I suggest you go with FIFA if you want a football game to play online, it's not perfect but it's good enough and people actually play it.
