I played for a year + so make sure you don't stay in one position. Don't stay out in the open. Use shadows / walls to your advantage as well as crouching (smaller target). Find a weapon you like. Ak 47 is definately a good choice for begiiners. Powerful but not to expensive. Also learn the maps, stay with your teamates. two pairs of eyes are better than one set. Just practice practice practice.

 Oh yeah, make sure you have a low ping. I used to have 20's which was wonderful. The lower the better. Scrap any server with 100 plus. You will loose everytime.
