I found the formations in AoE III which in my mind pushes it from my original stance of 9.6 to a perfect 10. It will be my first perfect 10.

I purchased Age of Empires III from Sam's on 11/20/05. I've never been in Sam's before...a lot of stuff. They had AoE III for less than $45. I also posted my review for AoE III today. That's it for now.

Users seem to be bashing Age of Empires III. Its Age of Empires, the series has never sucked, what the hell are people expecting? Age of Empires has always used the EXACT same game play engine for EVERY game in the series only improving and refining the graphics and game play. The only way Age of Empires could be less than spectacular would be if the game is played on a system which has minimum requirements or less for the game. I guess users don't keep that in mind when buying certain games.

I haven't played Age of Empires III, but just from the sheer graphics I am expecting it to be an improvement on the game visually. Users are complaining about the Campaign, but if you are actually going to base a game on the Campaign section then that is truly pathedic. Age of Empires is supposed to be played in multiplayer or in random/death matches. The point of the game is to conquer the world, not play the campaign - thats just there for historical background (yes, the Illuminati did exist). The campaign is showing you this point of view to see the idealistic views of a warped religious view.

Age of Empires III will be the same as the rest in the series, a great game, it will just have refined graphics and a different view on historical combat throughout the Ages (just like EVERY Age of Empires game).

I finally was able to purchase Cutthroats: terror on the high seas for the pc. I've played the demo for years and the idea of conquesting and plundering as well as managing supplies and loot appealed to me. The fact that I could torture governors for additional loot and then take over the town and have a basis for operation was really neat. I loved the demo and after playing it since '99 I really wanted the full version. I ordered the game from www.gogamer.com on 11/11/05 and it should arrive on 11/15/05. It was only $20 with shipping. I can't wait to get started on my conquest of the seas. I'll write a full review for the game when I've played it. Until then. Adieu.8)
