Adventure games such as Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle, Grim Fandango, et al. are well and truly dead.

Blizzard stole so much from GS that they had to pay out of court settlments for IP infringments .

But thats not what pisses me off its the nubs who think Blizzard is the best when clearly they are fracking blind. Clearly Relic is a much better and way more innovative RTS developer. I mean have you played Homeworld and Homeworld 2?

I was not aware of any IP settlements Blizzard had to pay to Games Workshop.  Even if they are ripoffs, having played both Starcraft and Dawn of War, I can say that Starcraft has more personality.  "Personality goes a long way."  By personality I'm referring not to their respective backstories, but the atmosphere that each game presents.  They are both wonderful games, don't get me wrong.

[QUOTE="dnuggs40"]I think a better fight would be the Tyranids vs Zerg. Seems like a better fight...though my money is on the Tyranids.superkoolstud

Where do you think Blizzard stole the idea for Zerg?

Blizzard took lots of inspiration from WH40k.  Everything from the races down to many of the units.  That said, the WH40k Space Marines would probably win vs. the Zerg just because I like the space marines.  I mean the marines have acid saliva.  What's not to like?

Given Blizzard's history of late releases, I'll guess late-2009.  I hope that's enough time to get the traditional Blizzard polish on it.

Since you already have WC1 and WC2 I would get WC3.  SC is a great game and I like(d) it much more than WC3.  But for you, my advice would be to finish off the WC series, and then get SC if you ever plan on playing SC2.

Wow.  Instead of waging war they could have bought like 4 PS3's.

If your TV is your only source of audio (i.e. no home theater receiver or speakers) then the plain old rca cables should be fine.

Two other major titbits.

* The next Halo (Halo 4?) will use a new game engine and depending on everything, could be a launch title for the new Xbox in 'Fall' 2010.

I call BS. At this point in time, it would be moronic for Microsoft to even hint at a timeframe for it's new Xbox as that would effectively ruin Xbox 360 sales going forward. Also, this whole "story" strikes me as a suit meddling in Bungie's game development decisions and that doesn't sound right, given what we know about Bungie's dedication to the gameplay experience.

He's right it's not milking... I'd call it price gouging.  Or highway robbery.  But not milking.
