I vote new style that has yet to be seen. . .

Really, it shouldn't be a choice between the fat head cell shaded one and the realistic one when theirs endless opions inbetween.

. . .Wow, so this site still uses the words "Cow/ Sheep"? Odd. . . .old too.

Anyway, I don't get what your trying to say. What, can't people praise a games look when thats all they know about it? Grh will always be 2nd to gameplay (unless you just want to look at high poly crap with no care for gameplay . . . inwhich case you might want to save $50 and go see a Disney movie).

Praising a dev who steps up and says "HEY! You other a-hole devs and pubs are shifting the Wii! We want to be the ones to set the bar for what a Wii game can look like!" is not saying grh is more than gameplay at all. People are just happy to see someone actually TRY to advance the looks to something thats more than PS2 port looking. Grh aint over gameplay but that doesn't mean Nintendo fans want games to look like s*** either. Even if this games gameplay blows they can still help out over all by showing people that the Wii can do better than PS2/ GC ported crap.

Really, this "debate" is old and lame. . .

It is a survival game, where the basic object is to live through various natural disasters, and escape alive.

NOT a 3rd person shooter but it has elements of that at some points.

It's abit harder to explain so I say you should find a D Day "hype thread" on Nsider 2 or something. . . theres alot of tidbits that have been shown here or there that I don't remember.

question: Does a violent game= great game?? or am I just thrown off by the title of this topic??

any new game for the wii is good....i havent heard of any hype or anticipation for a new game besides this wiiware, even NOTHING: THE GAME will catch my attention.

Hey, it's not the fact that their bloodly or mature so much as it's the fact that atleast one is a mature title for the Wii which Wii is having problems getting and the back ground of the devs.

I mean, just look at them. . . they have relayable histories in game making at Capcom so I expect a good show.

This is great news! I was just thinking about how interesting it would be to have a all Black&White game/ cartoon with bits of color like Sin City's movie. Very freash style idea. . . sounds promising.

Too bad the guys who leaked didn't get the chance to say what plateform that gun feet woman game goes too before they noticed that they were not suposed to talk. . . hoping for Wii yet again.

OK, time to clear some things up. . .

They DID NOT say this version was just going to be 2D, they said it was going to have more focus on the 2D aspects of the game. (from what I have heard the PS3/360 one is half and half where as this one has "more focus" on the 2.5D)

And I say that this is a GOOD thing! THIS is what I want. . . for people to not try to shoe horn a port of a PS3/360 game and masively fail because of it. The Wii version is supposely soo different that fans will have reason to get one for the 360 and one for the Wii according to sega so that, to me, sounds pretty good seeing how crappy Sonic team is (I think they changed the members from the last 3D one but Im not sure).

The Sonic Rush titles are highly regarded as the few really good Sonic games lately so I have no reason to be against DIMPs doing the Wii game. I mean at the end of the day which would you want. . .to keep giving Sonic Team the chance to stump on the Sonic name or for the out-sourced devs they hired before who did 2 really good Sonic games to make a Wii Sonic?

Dimps has actually gaven me hope for this title. . .

1, Tp was a CG port. It was made for the cube and ported to the wii at the end of it's devilopment. . .Thats why it doesn't have more content, they had toport it in the end. Time and time again they have said that the real Wii LoZ game will be much different (tp="last of it's kind")

2, SMG is hella new. . .

3, It was Gamefreak's choice to make Pokemon on grids and to do DP that way. If anything they should try to buld up something other than Pokemon seeing as Drill Dozer got some good reviews but was "too short and too easy".

. . . Whats up with this 0% chance BS? The simple fact that S-E wont come right out and name a console for it makes me think that it's not going to be PS3 only in terms of console games. For all we know they could be doing the smart thing (As in, put it on the system with both the most sells AND the most fan-base to which this game is aimed at).

I think that it's VERY likely that we will see the Wii get a KH game of some kind. Spin off with S-E/ Nintendo and Disney characters? Maybe. . . that would be great IMO. A simple spin-off of the main series? Sure, why not? I think it's likely. Or even the (dare I say it?!?!?) KH3 game? Could happen and I think it's more likely than not.

Actually, it's not a port. A port means the developer adapts existing code of an existing game to work on another system. Wheras a remake means the original code is 1(reworked to look and/or act differently, or 2)tossed out entirely.
This game is a complete remake with the original code being mostly thrown out.
Look at screenshots of the original (titled rygar:the legendary adventure) and compare them to this video, it's obviously not a port. And even if it is still on par with current ps2 graphics, it is far beyond that of the rygar:the legendary adventure for the ps2.
in short, its a new game or a complete remake from scratch. Not a port.StigmatTickles

http://www.1up.com/do/previewPage?cId=3163101

The maker of the game says that it's a port with the same level design, physics engine, animations and graphic data.

"1UP: So basically, by using the PS2 Rygar as the core, it frees you up to concentrate on perfecting the Wii controls, since the level design is already there, the animations and physics are already in place, and the majority of the graphic data is already complete.

KK: Yeah, the basic stage design might be the same, but first of all the last game was developed by another person, so I had nothing to do with it, but the previous version was known as an insect-killing game because of those rolling bugs, so you'd kill many small enemies, which all looked like rollers -- because they were -- which was criticized, of course. This time I've created bigger enemies that are human-based. Before you'd slash through many, but this time I want to focus on each impact, the soothing feeling of a big attack. "

Also probly why it's $40
http://gonintendo.com/?p=24616

It's a port that has a bump in Graphics, replaced enemies, hgihly focused Wii mote controls and a new Wii-mote focused over the should mode.
