[QUOTE="explasiv"][QUOTE="ionusX"] the intel core 2 extreme qx9770. but more realistically (cause core 2 extreme quads still sell for a bloody fortune) i would settle for something like a core 2 quad q9505, 9550, q8500 or anything of a higher number that you can afford. that should last u a long while

ionusX

Do you think that the core 2 quad + GTX 670 will do the job running high end games in ultra high??

easily every game on maximum. the core 2 duo would still work but the quad is required to let the 670 really open up and breath like it should

Yeah i was thinking of the quad extreme but I dont know why they are really expensive.. i think ill go with the Intel Core 2 Quad Q965.. any idea if they sell them OC anywhere?

[QUOTE="explasiv"][QUOTE="ionusX"] it will probably be fine. but if you want to do something about ur cpu go on ebay say 4-7 months down the line and grab a core 2 quad q8000, q9000 series. that will give you a ncie boost and will last you for many years to come. not having a quad core in the future is going to be like not having an internet connection :P

Whats the best cpu that can fit in my Motherboard?

[QUOTE="explasiv"]

I have just bought a GTX 670, and I would like to know how will my pc preform while playing in ultra high settings high-end games.. I have an intel core duo 3.16 GHz, and the reason i didnt get a new i7 or i5 cpu is because If i do so, im gonna have to replace the whole motherboard (nForce 680i SLI).. Is it so necessary to get a new cpu+new Motherboard? or my pc will perform well?

A GTX 295 runs roughly like dual GTX 275s in SLI. That being said - your GTX 295 runs about 10-15% behind a GTX 570 (as long as the game you're playing supports dual GPUs on your 295). I moved up from dual GTX 280s to a single GTX 570 for less power draw and less heat and found the GTX 570 generally outperformed the 280s by 10-15% for the most part.

In your situation, I wouldn't settle for any GPU under a GTX 660Ti from the 6xx series or a GTX 570 on the 5xx series.

ah I see, ok what if i get gtx 670 will my 550 watt PSU be enough for it??
