Thanks for clearing that up... So is there a limit of how much space i can convert to FAT32?? Using XP

Ospov

Yes and I think it's 32GB if I'm not mistaken...but there are programs out there (search Google) that can let you format more. Also, I wouldn't go turning your old HDD into an external just yet. The first time I installed a new HDD it ended up dying within 3 weeks of me getting it and I had to reinstall my old HDD (luckily I hadn't formatted it or I would've lost everything). Just in case something like that happens to you you might want to keep your old HDD as is for a back up. That is unless you can back up the new HDD and have it all backed up onto something. Just make sure you always have a backup at all times.

Okay thanx will keep in mind to have a backup.... But I dont see any reason for it now cos i changed the HDD b4 i even turned on my PS3 for the first time....

But thanx for the tip!!!! I kinda forgot that sumthing could go wrong along the way....

Im in abit of a dilemma right now... As you all know, the PS3 slim was just launched on the 1st of September.... Problem is in Malaysia (where im from) its not even here yet and calling Sony Malaysia only got me as far as "we have not recieved any information on a PS3 slim yet, sir"... And the phat (80GB)still costs $399here!!!Rumoursof its released went from 20th September to 30th September and now The 31st of October!!!! (cant wait that long as i have a long year of boarding school on the 25th of october!!!!)Now here is where my dilemma comes in... Even though its not released yet here, local shops and gamestores (not Sony affiliated) are already selling the Slims!!! BUT they're not local sets (mainly the US and HK sets)... This means that the warranty is not covered by Sony Malaysia.... I could wait till atleast early February to get the local set or i could get it (US or HK sets)next week.... Put yourselves in my shoes... What would you guys do?.... Is the warranty the only thing im missing out on? or can i just send it to Sony in the respective countries if i do decide to get it now?

This forum has helped me out alot b4.... just need abit more.... i really want to get my first ps3.... hahaha hope you guys can help me out!!
